American high tier tanks suck sooo bad

i hated 7 to 7.7 but at br 8 you get the bradly+t95e1 and things start to get fun again.

grind through the 7 to 8 using something lower that you enjoy, that is what I did.

Opposite experience to me. 8.0 usa was always a strain. But 7.0 usa is a laugh and I get far better kill-death ratios there. The M46 eats enemy tanks for breakfast.

Apart from the Bradley (which has its own list of problems but is ok), 8.0.usa tanks feel old fashioned and clunky. They struggle vs things like the T55AM-1 and Object 279 a lot. A shame as I love the flavour of the M60A2 especially. It just takes a ton of effort to do ok in it. Envious of you if you do well in 8.0 usa though as it had good variety etc

That's because round penetration values, off road speed, handling, and rate of fire were incrementally nerfed for all US tanks and self propelled guns. Recently the russian devs have also started to nerf British rounds further. HESH will now have the same armor penetration as HE, less in some cases

m46 and t29/t30/t34 are very good while not as amazing as ru251 they will be doing much better than most nations

US tanks in the 7.0 range require careful tactics. Never expose your UFP, always force your opponents to engage your Turret when you're using the Heavy Armor.

The M46, M47, M48, and M60 all rely heavily on their HEAT-FS rounds. Once you get those, they're very fine tanks. Well, except the M48. That tank is garbage.

2a6 gets 635mm of pen (when its actually +700mm IRL)

Very mysterious. Even the famed upper front plate of the T-44 should usually fail vs the T34. And the rest of the T-44 is paper. Maybe you penned but hit the fuel tank in its front.
