If you want to support the development or is interested in some vehicle or just got some stwam funds to spend then sure.
Got a bunch of dlcs myself, just to support... havent even used them all...
Have a nice day/night buddy :)
Ahh you mean the vehicle packs and the starter packs
Is that DLCs ?
High-tier premiums can help you grind through a tree relatively quickly, but be advised that in ground battles you will be stuck with one high BR vehicle and whatever low-tiers you have unlocked. Same thing in Air Arcade. It only really works for Air RB, because everyone only gets one spawn, but keep in mind you will still start at a massive disadvantage in terms of player and crew skill. A brand-new crew on a jet will constantly black out if you even so much as think about possibly turning the aircraft. It's doable, but be prepared to die a lot and your teammates will not thank you for that. Luckily, the premiums come with 30 free repairs instead of 10. . .
Oh yes, the dlcs i mostly got on -50% which already is expensive.
But thats what they do, they have an idea of the actual price they want, then they double(+) it so they get the price they really ask for on discount days anyway+more than that from those that can't wait or have lot if money and dont care.
Bit smart & sneaky (also not so smart in some ways imo) cause many of us don't really like their pricings and that they hold back so much. And the lack of premium currency in their packs is bugging me a bit.
Early on, they'd add 10k eagles
+ some extra vehicle(s) for the prices today that have single vehicle with almost or no eagles.
However i do like the game so it's still worth throwing a few bucks at to support a little bit & say thanks for the game.
Wish they'd focus qol updates more tho...And be more generous with these things. Would be good for wts reputation, entertainment quality & playerbase - & income too with that of course, but whatever i guess.
EDIT: So its kinda only worth to buy it to grind ur stuff faster? But its not necessary to buy them to enjoy the game right?
Tanks, especially RB, is pretty much a camper-fest, including the Gaijin-approved spawn-camping, so that seems to draw in/create a little more toxicity. But if you are coming from LoL I doubt much will surprise you.
Yes, correct.
Beginner packs are also only useful to research the lower ranks with. Not worth aiming for the high ranks cause it is a long road (hundreds of playtime hours) & even with premium stuff the progress rate is rather slow already after rank iii. So all good picking one of those up. And there are a ton of vehicles on the low tiers, only downside is that maps can become a bit repetitive there..
Went freetoplay for years without problem.
Turn auto repair off once u reach rank ii, and try playing 1-2 nations on the side if your main to build up a good silver lion economy. One match or two and move on to the next once your lineup needs repairing. Crews repair your vehicles without silver lion cost then, will make it much easier for you to afford new vehicles & crews + expert crews..
Also play some before buying something, wt have had lot of connection errors and server problems since the lockdowns started... see how the game is for you, some dont notice it much and others get kicked out of every few games at times with high lag spikes etc.
If you are short on money a premium vehicle that you can do well in can help "print" more funds for you to use, whether you earn it from player kills, base caps, NPC kills, bombing bases, etc. There are other ways to earn money though. For example, taking late-WW2 bombers into nearly empty Simulator Battles and cautiously bombing bases can earn decent money and if you are careful there's a good chance your bomber will stay alive for the entire 3 hour match (or however long you decide to stay in it).
Also, the PvE Assault modes give each give you 1 booster per day which a lot of people seem to overlook, but even a 75% SL boost is nice, and they go up to 300%.
