its cuz there the main aircraft in the first half of the German tech tree

because they're the main planes for germans (for some players, they're the only planes to ever exist in the german tree).
knowing that Germany is probably the most played nation in game, it isn't that surprising that you see a lot of them.
also they're in 5 different trees (US, Germany, Japan, France and Italy), except the french Fw190 is quite rare and is named differently (NC.900).

I noticed it 6 month ago and even raised the topic and only now someone also notice it, but forum trolls drowned it with their dull answers. Forum troll-players dont understand the main point of this topic, because they play only on forums. Answer is gaijin should nerf these planes as much as possible to force herds play on other nations.

tbh I don't think it's a matter of performance. wehraboos will be wehraboos, they'll always play Germany no matter what.

People have said they are the mainstay of the German fighters tree nobody forces anyone to play any nation they are our choices why try and force that and then cry balance, if you think they are so much better go and fly them they are just a solid all round plane with good weapons. The only way there can be perfect balance is if the game had one plane, at the end of the day air combat is about the pilots skill more than what they fly.

I have more concerns over the terrible hit registration and server sync than the content, this is the reason I fly planes with those German 20mls because they are the only weapons I can get kills with everything else is spark city or just blanks for me.

This is strange because in my experience hispanos and .50s cut planes to ribbons but German cannons fail to do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, clientside maybe? Or is it just bad luck?

Yeah not sure. My experience is the German 20mm blow planes apart if you're at all close, but Hispano's need dozens and dozens of hits to do anything.

The Soviet 20 is just a joke and does nothing too.

50 cals are good though.

They just dont work for me where the 151s get the kill I have near 40k kills so am competent enough to know when I should have the kill, I feel its between the lag and speed of rounds, for me Hispanos and 50 cal spark like crazy the Russion 20cal and Japans 20cal are about the same and all Ive got to be close, where I have the 151s set up to 800mtrs and I get kills over the whole range , well sometimes lol my Aussie connection is always above 300 ping.

Often I can be on somebody near the water or against a hill and I can see the shots hitting so far away its a joke and more like 3000 ping than 300, other times I get accurate instant hits for short periods of time, I put this down to packet jitter of my internet.

at 3.0-50 its our team and the enemy team, along with FWs, F4F/U, it's like everyone has the same taste, I've taken DO's into battle and they can at times especially lower tiers take a LOAD of damage, I just make them my priority targets tbh

I mean, I'd say its probably because there's like 10 variants of each. So after you research one of them, you have another to research and so on. This means you always have one to use.

Wait till you get to 6.0. Then you'll be back here tellin us there's nothing but 288Cs.

But this is pretty vague. Germany is like, 60% BF and FW variants. You're going to primarily see them, maybe decent bombers like the 264, BV, or 288C. Maybe less often BF 110s. But the real workhorse in-game is the 109 for the most part.
