Light tanks airstrike

How do I use the air strike ability for light tanks?

If all I have to do is spot an enemy and if the enemy dies then I get the reduced sp cost on planes, then it doesnt work. I spotted an enemy and it died but the cost to spawn in my plane is still 480 sp

Ok, so what you need to do is spot a tank using the spotting button, and the tank you spotted needs to die in order for the SP cost to go down.

I spotted tigers and they both died but it didn't lower the cost ;(

Nope, it works in RB, I can confirm this as I have had the SP cost of a fully loaded P-47 drop to around 450
