Why is there no MMR/Level based match making system?
I'm sick of being stomped at low BR by players who've spent more time in their fighters than i have in total in the game. Sweaty players spawn camping in OP premium vehicles covered in bushes is a great way to destroy your own community.

Play arcade and learn the maps, premium doesn't matter> I have taken out Rank 6 MBTs with Rank 1 light tanks, but you have to learn the maps and I don't mean the same route to the cap point, most of these bush guys go the opposite way to the direct route to the caps and instead sit in corners of the map or in gullies off to the side of the cap.

I appreciate the advice but i think i miss worded myself, i meant my team, i'm watching level 100 players get 12+ kills and just wiping low level players. As far as i can see thats just terrible game design.

And i'm sorry but you're wrong, there are some premium vehicles that are objectively better. And on top of all of this its stuff like having maxed at crews, knowing every single weak point and glitch points on maps. It just means that it completely deters new players from sticking with the game A.K.A Killing your own community.

You're talking about Seal Clubbers, and they paid Gaijin a lot of money to be able to wreck other people's fun.

you know you can be skilled at the game and not pay gaijin a single cent right?

there are wise words that come out of the WT community: Git Gud.

But thats my point, why not have a level or MMR based matchmaking system? that way you dont have the people who have "got gud" vs people who are just starting. Its so one sided and not fun.

I should probably clarify my comment. I'm not blaming the Seal Clubbers. They are playing optimally to enjoy the game the way they want to. It is never the players fault. I'm blaming the developers for making a suboptimal match for the purpose of expanding player enjoyment for low skill levels.

point taken, if gaijin really try to implement this there could be a MM hell, they can split the entire playerbase at the expense of better playability and longer waiting times, which as you know here they will whine a lot.

There are two reasons why the developers don't do MMR. The first one is that the player base is too small to implement one. There is already a BR matchmaker range that separates each mode to roughly one tenth of the players in that mode at that time waiting to queue. Implement MMR and those striations get even smaller.

The other reason is monetary. The developers are making money with their current method and why mess up a good thing that could make less money.

because just because I am level 100 it only means i have been playing the game for a while.
I got it in ground,
you see me in a plane for warbonds or an event I am free points for others.

Your suggestion will make the queue times longer and you won't learn much by killing people of the same skill level, that is not how getting better works.

You will still get very upset when you get to level 100 and find that you know nothing and you blow up a lot all of a sudden.

learn how to get better now and stop wasting time.

lastly, it has always been this way, we all learnt, got better or accepted we blow up a lot or stopped playing.

Why do you want your hand holding when the rest didn't?

As for fun, I have a rampage about once a week, I kill 7 to 10 vehicles without getting killed, I play br 4.7 to 5.7 because I find it fun and balanced.

Killing that many in a rampage does not mean I win the game, who every kills me will take great joy in putting down someone like me during a game.
I'm an average player but go a little nuts now and again.

So don't say people can't have fun that is just you, who ran to the forums...........

Sure you'll wait forever for a game, WT don't get that many new players for such a system to be viable. Low br is fill to the brim with experienced players because high br is such a chore to play and low br is so much more fun.

Player level, or account level may be a better description, is a bad measure of player skill. It has more to do with play time. MMR, if implemented, would have to measure some really esoteric skills, like hit percentage or one shot kills. And even then, how do you detect a kill from the ability to maneuver or twitch ability to hit the shoot button within a second of seeing the opponent.

Why does this discussion always gets derailed by someone getting personal? The topic of free to play skill level matchmaking is such a fascinating subject and mix in a little bit of digital only goods to make it even more exciting.

they will do anything to NOT split the player base and messing with the mm would do that.

world war mode was the last thing, i get a feeling and it is just a feeling that it didn't do very well.

They have to keep giving things away to get us to play and personally I found it VERY boring.

navy is or trying to die.

When ever something new about this sort of thing is asked in a Q+A vid queue times is always the reply.

There was one different thing last time, when mm was asked if it would ever change, the reply was one day they would get rid of it...........who knows if that is a good thing or bad.
knowing them........bad.

I don't see it changing for something more complicated soon but that is just my feelings.
