SU 152 and ISU 152
Are these two good TDs? Any tips on how to use them?

Shoot and scoot using the good mobility, if you penetrate something it's not gonna live. Don't rely on your armor, unless they hit your trolly gun mantlet, most tanks will go through you frontally.

Alright. How mobile are they stock?

Like a good amount of Soviet tanks around there, good (not great) mobility forward and backwards, but DO NOT try to turn on the spot. If you do, you will often see one track turn and you turn at what feels like half a kilometer an hour. If you want to turn it, forward a bit, turn a bit, forward a bit, turn a bit, and so on, or high speed, heavy turn. Reversing and turning does go a slight bit fater, but still horribly slow.

Alright. Should I sniped or go balls deep, or both?

Given the turning issues and 'meh' armor, I'd try to stay back a bit. Not back as a sniper like DM or Nashorn, but back a bit (best to have others with you) where others infront can take the hits while you pop out and shove a 152mm through them. You can try to be sneaky as well if you feel like it, but you always need to keep your lack of turning ability (and casemate gun) in mind and how easily they can easily get around you if you screw up.

SU models have better mobility than ISU models. The SU series are on T-34 chassis, and the ISU series are on KV/IS chassis.

That being said the reverse speeds of the ISUs are surprisingly good, making it easy to duck into cover for reloads.

SU-122 is on a T-34, SU-152 is on a KV-1 (T-34 could not handle the weight), and the ISU is all on the IS series. That's what gives the ISU the reverse speed of the IS series, it has the same transmission and engine.

edit: SU-152's were on the KV-1S chassis as the original KV-1 production had been swaped for the lighter 1S.

Ok thank you!

Nothing feels better than getting 6 kills in an ISU-152 in a single match.

Lol ok

Better off with SU-85M. Better mobility and has reinforced front slope compared to earlier model SU-85. This can bounce some stuff, especially from range. And you dont have to wait half a day for reload.

Didn't know that. I will consider it

I'm running it with IS-1 and T-34-85 (D-5T), does quite well at that BR.

Good news is I have both of those tanks as well!
