Also the only ATGM you can face are SS.11 missiles on Stridsvagn and AMX. And let's be honest their guns are far more dangerous than slow missiles.
But I don’t think there’s that big of a problem with the H1. Yes the armor gets penned a lot, but can be pretty trolly when angles and the gun is pretty damn good.
Have any footage of the shell bouncing off the sidearmor of the T-34?
There is no problem with German tanks, specifically the Tiger 1s. They are great tanks if you use them properly in-game. Go hull down, angle your armor so it's not a 100mm box. You'll do fine.
What not to do - drive around and expect the history channel to hold true and absorb 100 T-34 shells while knocking out entire platoons of tanks, then take to the forum when you're knocked out.
Take some time, learn the tank. Tiger 1s are still great tanks in-game.
If strategy was the highlight of the game then yeah by all means everybody should educate themselves but the reality is a lot of people just hop on arcade to blow some ♥♥♥♥ up. Gaijin themselves love showcasing new weaponry and vehicles because they love recreating digital weapons of war for the players to use to blow ♥♥♥♥ up.
Overmatch (which is one OF THE BIGGEST FACTORS in penetration and tank warfare) is nonexistant unless we are looking at derp guns, while in reality 100 flat mm's were extremely stubborn due to being "real" (and the panzer 4 80mm was actually a good protection instead of the ♥♥♥♥ depicted in game because of that), while t34, sherman, IS1, pnz3..were all overmatched by 75 and 88.
You aren't engaging enemy tanks over several kilometres, if you die, you don't die in real life etc. Similarly your tank won't break down.
You are always "balanced" you normally face tanks which stand a decent chance against you and you should have a decent chance against them. If you don't, then that is a balance problem, which needs to be fixed, not the tiger having problems.
Tiers or battleratings are not made in this game according with tank models timelines, you wouldnt imagine the tiger1 facing early versions of t34s, shermans etc... simply because it would be overpowered.
You can still use tiger1s with success by using it as sniper support role, keep your distance angled and near of cover, in some situations you can travel on the map edges and pick targets from safe distance, aslong you dont use it as close quarters combat your chances of doing well can improve.
