you can set up bots in a custom battle, best to use tank maps so you can choose bot tanks or planes. you can set their rank aswell as the number of ai and which country. you will not earn any XP doing this, however it's good for practice to get a feel for your vehicle before jumping into a real battle.

Yes, there are air assault and tank assault modes where you can play against bot waves with allies helping you defend a cap zone. You don't earn a ton of RP with the mode, but it is there.
