War Thunder

War Thunder

Statistiche:
From 1982 R3 T20 = 3.7 ???
Quote WT:
The OTO Melara R3 Capraia was a light reconnaissance vehicle which was developed as a private venture by OTO Melara of Italy. Derived from OTO Melara's R2.5 Gorgona armoured policing vehicle, the R3 Capraia was first presented at the 1982 Italian Naval Exhibition held in Genoa. The R3 shared its automotive parts with the R2.5, but had a body consisting of angled aluminium armour with in places a maximum thickness of 32 mm, providing enough protection against 7.62 mm NATO small arms fire and shell splinters.

How the heck is this showing up against 3.3 and lower, vehicles from WW2 and this is from 1982 with a chain fed 20mm cannon !!!
Seriously this this eats everything but the heavies totally mad War Thunder, whats the point when 5 or 6 of these show up on one side right at the start? WOW

It is a shame it shows up, personally I like to imagine the game is a little historical, sometimes.

Looks like we posted at the same time so please pardon the double-post...:

Think they tried that and still, to some degree do. Usually the battles when limited to historic equipment and historic quantities/participants per side, it ends up being an incredibly one-sided battle, as seen in the MM queues where one side might wait 10 minutes for a battle and the other might wait 10 seconds.

Yeah I understand that very valid point.
I often wonder though if they couldn't have reflected the reality just a bit more by some more creative means; for just a passing thought; by cost per vehicle or for example allowing 2 "lives" for e.g cheap to make Soviet tanks, like the "card" they give you sometimes but to me the way it's currently used is a wasted potential.

It's true whether in Squad or Post Scriptum or War thunder or whatever, it's nigh on impossible to appeal to the sim fans and the gamers.
Historical vs Game not easy to balance.
No matter what folks will find fault.

Still once (1/20) in a while in all these games you get a good one with cooperative fair minded players and you're own mojo is working for once.
Plus you will always have the issue of casual gamers vs the "pro"s
Side tracks armor could help against these little buggers
Normal tree puma needs to go to 3.7 and the Pakpuma needs to be at 4.3-4.7 and the R3 needs to be at a bare minimum of 5.0. the jumbo 76mm needs to go back to 5.7.

Yep, it should be at 5.7 - 6.7 range or give it APDS and make it a light tank. A fast firing and stabilized 20mm on a very fast chasis for its br shooting down slow WWII planes should not be a thing but this is Gaijin.

And some people will actually defend the R3 because ''iT cAn bE kILleD bY .50 cALs'' and not realising not every tank has a roof mounted mg or .50 cal or being a american tank.
with line of thinking the whirlwind should be higher

The R3 is the reason why I hesitate to get back into the game, even tho I have a heavy itch for tank on tank violence right now. 3,7-5,3 are my favorite br's to play, but seeing this thing zoom across my screen devalues the experience by a huge margin.

Can't believe it is at 3,7 after what, 1,5 years now?
How about reuniting it with its long-lost brother T106 FA at 7.3, just make it viable at that br.
Broken families make me sad. :*(
It can be killed by most LMG in the game and after this AA, Italy doesn't have new AA since SIDAM which in tier 5.

Most of Allies complain about it because it can kill their M18 and M4 easily.

The best way to stop it is communication, if you know its position and camp it first. It will be small threat. Many times I die because most of my teammates keep quite and don't give a F... with the map, then R3 can backstab them all.

Thats not the point, you can kill a lot of top tier vehicles with a 13mm machine gun but you wouldnt put them from 9.0 to 3.7 because of that. And a LMG(7-8mm) is not enough to hurt a R3.
I saw R3s doing just fine on 6.7 and i got killed by one in my Type 61 today, i think 5.7 is the right spot for that thing.
r3 = easy kills. camp near spot and farm them

btw this game is historically inspired. not historically accurate.
