For a game that lends itself to be free, this is finally the most expensive game you can find on steam.

The Maus and E-100 are different things.
Maus: Added because literally nothing else would work within the rules. The rules changed. So did the status of the Maus. The Maus, for a "rare" is one of the most commonly posessed. It never started as anything exotic.
E-100: Tournament/Super-rare exclusive from the get go.
The events they would be available from, would be entirely different.
I might highlight the difference between GJN and USD. Yes- fundamentally, 1 GJN = 1 USD.
Most of these things being sold for ludicrous sums, are not being bought with cash. They were bought because someone understood the market, made a boatload of GJN, and needed something to spend it on.
In all likelihood- Yes, it will probably come back around. The question is when. Likely in a "Top X positions" tournament reward format.
