About HEATFS
I have recently started using tanks with HEATFS. Can I say that once HEATFS is unlocked, I should use it only (put aside the cost)?

So far it seems to be working well. But I am just not sure if am missing something.

And one more question - how to use HESH? Is it like HE that you dont need it to pen but the immediate effect does the killing???
In most cases you should be using HEATFS if you don't have APFSDS.

HESH is only similar to HE in that it doesn't care about armor slope, penetration and post-penetration are different. Generally speaking this ammo is unreliable or at the very list highly situational.
Thanks Curst. Can HEATFS shoot through walls and wooden houses like AP shells?

No. HEATFS will detonate even on chain fences, bushes, anything.
Got it, thanks! Basically if I dont think I can hit the enemy directly, I cant fire HEATFS.

Then I guess APHE is still needed for some matches...

I am at br 7 for America, Germany, USSR and Britain. Start to get used to using all different types of shells.

One trick I use is to fire a few MG rounds to kill any fences/bushes, then immediately fire HEATFS afterwards
HEATFS and HESH usually depends on the Tank itself but sometimes the Stock Ammo also works better.

HEATFS detonates on anything, but it can still do some damage to the target if it's close enough to the point of detonation. HESH is less sensitive, but it still can't go through walls.

In my experience:
- For Britain you can get away with using only APDS until you get to APFSDS. Sometimes HESH can be useful as well, mostly against Soviet tanks and large soft targets.
- For USSR you can safely avoid HEATFS on everything except for light vehicles with smaller guns (BTR-1, PT-76, etc.).
- For USA and Germany you'll pretty much have to use HEATFS until you get to APFSDS. You can either use it exclusively and modify your tactics accordingly (because you can't shoot through anything) or take a couple of weaker rounds to shoot through stuff. Both options have some good and bad side effects.
Thanks Curst and all, very helpful tips.
Remember, HEATFS has an extremely thin line of damage (most of the time) so aim for critical parts.
I believe HEATFS is also very affected by explosive reactive armour, as it is a "chemical weapon". Whereas APFSDS isn't much.
Carry 20 HEATFS and 20 APFS-DS.
That should be enough to play around at High Tier before you get shot back.
I love my M60A2 but all its rounds (HEAT, missiles) detonate on bushes, fences etc. I have to be swift with the 50cal to blast them down if they are in the way. A 50cal-proof concrete wall can be the death of me.
