Russia tanks vs Chinese Tanks?

Im in a dilemma in whether to choose russian or chinese tanks to invest my time in. Russians rank 3 wise, get decent tanks while china immediately gets t-34-85 and Gai. I need to know which nation has a better rank 3, and which nation has a better rank 4-6. I want them in separate answers.

I would say you should go for the russian tree over the chinese one. At mid tiers, you get the T-34, IS tanks, KV tanks, ASU spg and the higher you go you will see T-54, T-55, T-62, T-64, T-72 and more.The advantage of the russian tree over the chinese one would be the amount of vehicles you get and lineups because the chinese while not that lacking in lower tiers, the problem of lineups and vehicle and be seen around 7.0 wheres theres only 2 7.3 vehicles and the next tank would be at 8.0 making no effective lineup to grind unless you put lower tiered tanks into your lineup.

However, one good thing about the chinese tech tree is you can bring both US and USSR vehicles together into a lineup, making that a variety of vehicles to choose from depending on the map.

Another thing would be the future potential additions the russian tree would get over the chinese tree with variants of T-72s, T-80s, ATGM carriers and others.The higher tiers of the chinese tree can be great too if Gaijin added more ZTZ-96, ZTZ99 or more ZTZ tanks but thier lower tiers will probably stay that way unless copy-paste tanks are added or cold war vehicles are added like the ZSD-63.

But that chinese 5.7 lineup is so good tho, You get M18, 2 X T-34-85, IS-2, M36, ZSD-63(chinese spaa) and a P-47D(CAS) all in one lineup.

China kind of helps you with a blend of American, Russian, and Japanese tanks early on (as well as planes) So if you hit a point you just want to work on another tree, this will basically help you decide that.
But Russia does get things IS-3, IS-4m, and etc. Just like LagginToast says.
Me personally, have researched all Chinese tech tree tanks, and half way for planes (P.S. this gave an achievement that only 0.1% of players have if youre into that.) and currently researching the rest of Russia....

Researching all of China was my best decision for this game so far, and having upto the T-72A on Russia is nice too.

For you. to start investing time, if you want to do both trees, id start with China as there are less tanks so you can get higher tier quicker. (and you have a chance of being on a team with Russians, Americans, or Germans etc...) Russia tree is way bigger and require more time...but it is still worth it xD
