APDS Broken?

The APDS(armor piercing discarding sabot) is a round that is used firstly and developed by the british. The first cannon that uses the apds is the 17 pounder which is installed on various tanks. The apds is a small,light projectile coming out of a cannon. And if the cannon is 17 pounder, then the shell will be more smaller than that(the diameter). That applies same as the others. The apds is very good at penetrating tanks from a medium range with a really high penn. It also has no fins. Now the real life version of it is that its not really good at long ranges. The shell is very light(4kg) and small and fast so after maybe 500m< then the shell will tumble,and tumble,and tumble and finally not hit the target. The shell is very light that it can be blown by winds or rain(maybe) or other things .But in war thunder, thats not the case. Well at least in WT it lost lots of penn on long ranges. But I got few situations when i get sniped by them in long range like kursk(in B) and maginot line. I got prove:

war thunder is not a sim, it is a game. Try Steel Beasts, Armored Assault, or the old tiger series for a more realistic tank game. Even Darkest hour is decent for tanking. Just play WT for what it is, a game nothing more and do not try and rationalize its aspect.

If the apds worked on warthunder like it was in real life, that would put and end to british tank tree, even as it is now britain is one of the worst tank nations to play nowadays, also hesh was nerfed.
Im playing at 7.7 with britain unlocking the 1st chieftain its taking me forever due to how poor their tanks are in comparison to other nations wich i had no problems unlocking all their tanks right away to the top.

HESH was one shotting that is why, irl if APDS penned it would one shot too

The reason APDS in the 17pdr was innacurate was actually the muzzle break of the gun dirupting it as the sabot started to open in the break

The british is decent because they have stabilizer and fast rounds. They also has some good armored tanks. They also has good depression. Soviet has no stabilizer,no fast rounds(100 mm d10t, well some but decent), no depression(as usual), and crap armor. But if your good than good grinder

The Russians almost universally have better armour than British tanks

No look at the t55 or t54, they have 100mm armor. And look at the is3. Now its iosif struggle 3. Armor is obsolete. The only very armored tanks is the t64a 1971 which has composite.

Not only that, they are faster and their rounds penetrates british tank hulls as butter.
centurion mk10 for example its not bad, but for a medium tank its really slow, conqueror its slow aswell and it takes an eternity to reload and the vickers well a bit better mobility awsome reload rate but no armour at all, i guess only the chieftains are really good ones on britain but even so their hulls are quit weak even low tier tanks can kill chieftains face to face if the hull is exposed.

Remember, armor in a tank is useless without composite armor in high tiers
