I have been playing this tank recently and am 130-33 with it... playing it just about like any other tank: stay behind cover, try to flank, etc. Getting the upgraded shell (M61) helps a bunch too.

Make use of the good gun depression and shoot from behind the hills, APCBC ammo asap altough you still need to carry some AP ammo too to deal with KV-1 and such.

Also... it sounds like you're new to this game. Most tanks will ♥♥♥♥ until you get some basic research for modifications done on them... my kill death ratio is always a lot worse with a brand new tank than with one I've researched all the mods for.

Yeah you mostly need to use the M4's decent speed with good armor (when sloped)

Use APCBC and rush to get it, default ammo sucks. Also, try to think that anything sneezing at you can destroy you and try to flank and be with team-mates... Try to lso memorize weakspots
