US: If you want all the tree factor of tank fundamentals exist within a single piece of tank ( Sherman ) go for it, absolutely good on mobility and firepower let alone the advantages it has by their stabilizer. Their light and TDs units focus on suprme speed and extreme firepower while the heavy only focus on firepower and turret armor. Overall, American tanks are good for hull down player and those who likes to brawl.
Germany: Lack of Armor early on but steady with their progression of firepower, as you progress the armor increases as well as the firepower. It has speedy light with light that has fast firing gun but their TDs are lacking of speed as well as their heavy, but to compensate that the TDs and Heavy offer hyper firepower and great protection. Good for those whom like to snipe and defence.
USSR: Blessed by Gaijin by the power of Bias, in early tier they have decent protection as well as firepower. Russian lights rely on speed and agility as their firepower isn't that great, their TDs screw armor and speed for ultra firepower, while in other hand their heavy only cares about armor and gun, everything else is heresy and capitalist propaganda. They have good medium with trolly armor and excelent gun. Good for players whom like to rush into the front.
Some prems I know:
US: Hurr Durr the rocket spammer Calliope and mini Jumbo T14
USSR: The power of Katyusha and UFO tank thingy never let you down komrade
German: hmm, E-100?
US-the 3.7 is very solid then 5.3 can struggle mainly because of the Jumbo doesn't do well in up tier 5.7 good to great
USSR-4.3 is very solid as well and have a good 5.3 and 5.7
German there 3.0 is good but I don't line there Pz.IIIs but the 5.3 to 6.7 are very solid all threw there
British- 3.3 to 3.7 than 4.7 all good
Japan- just don't lol
China- good 2.3 solid 3.7 and one of the best if not best 5.7 in game
Italy- good 3.3 good 3.7 ok 4.7 very nice 6.3
France- 2.3 and 3.3 then 3.7 5.3 is ok then 6.7 awsome but cost a lot in Repair
Sweden- amazing 1.0 to the point almost op ok 3.0 and ok 4.0 to fun 5.0 to to ok to good 6.7
If you want a more in depth of why some of those's BR are why they are hit me up
As for premium tanks, I don't recommend getting any of them until you yourself know what you want from the game. If you still want to progress faster, it's better to get subscription instead.
Kind of depends on your play style, what mode(s) you're interested in and a few other factors. If you could clarify I could offer my two cents and my opinion. However, I always say I recommend playing all nations to get a feel for their strengths and weaknesses. It just makes you a better player overall.
