With the high rewards of simulator battles, a gamemode like this would make the heli grind bearable. I also find it a lot more fun to fight AI than it is to fight players when I want to relax.
However, the UH-1B doesn't have the equipment for anything else but rockets, it's literally incapable of having any other armament.
I get that, but this only makes the japanese UH-1B look even worse. Why even bother adding such a weak and experimental helicopter other than for nickel and diming players who actually want to use one of the other helis?
From my impression it's the worst helicopter in the game. It can't get any lower BR because 8.0 is apparently the helicopter BR floor, it can't get any better loadouts and you can't remove it because you'd only have the AH-1S early to replace it in the tech tree.
At this point it's only a big middle finger to the F2P japanese players who dare wish to play helicopters.
Considering both are experimental modifications to existing helicopters, I'd rather have that one because it seems a lot more competetive and fun to play with.
In the end both the H-13 and UH-1B would be horribly exposed to anti-aircraft fire, and to boot, radar-guided anti-aircraft fire; but the UH-1B has a bit more of a chance of surviving with the superior airframe albeit it's required to get closer.
Yeah this would still be better than the UH-1B right now. Atleast you would have ONE viable tactic: getting into ambush positions and sniping from the rear/sides. At 1.8 kms you'd atleast have a chance to remain undetected and fire a few missiles.
From my experience so far, every rocket armed helicopter usually just swoops in, maybe gets a few kills and then ends up getting shot down by tank AA machine guns. With the UH-1B it's especially bad since the controls are sluggish, your speed is meh and you only get 17 rocket salvos per run.
I'd rather have the worst missile helicopter in the game than the worst rocket pod helicopter in the game.
