Why is the Jagdpanzer 4 still 4.7?

-Armor is considerably worse than the hetzer
-Gun is slightly below average - just average
-PanzerIV/70(A) just got moved to 4.7(how does this make sense??)
-It gets obliterated in an uptier
In other words, it's a completely useless TD that needs to be 4.3 at the very least.

things also get balanced on how we the player base use them,
if something does well it gets a br increase like most usa shermans.

if it does badly down it goes, tiger 1.

if we use or not use them also plays a part in this.
and if all else fails they put the SL repair costs up so much that lots of us stop using a vehicle....but deny this.

Jagdpanzer is being used well and has good stats.

Panzer IV/70 (A) has the same flat plate as the Pz IV meaning that its incredible easy to pen.
The tech tree version is the Panzer IV/70 (V) which doesn't have the flat plat and instead is fully sloped,

I'm aware. The point I was trying to make is that the Jagd 4 has bad armor (compared to other options such as the hetzer) but only has an okayish gun. Compare this to the Panzer IV/70(A) with it's great gun that won't struggle to pen anything even at a full uptier. It more than makes up for the mediocre armor.

Why are you comparing two different tanks at different BRs, with different guns that fight against different tanks?

You do realise that IV/70 is 0.6 br range higher?
Why are you comparing two different tanks at different BRs, with different guns that fight against different tanks?

There are two IV/70 tanks. I'm clearly talking about the premium version(IV/70(A)) that just got moved down to 4.7.

Panzer IV/70(A) is complete death trap, I rather have Jagdpanzer IV then this rubbish. Actually Jagdpanzer IV is doing just fine at 4.7, never had much problems using it.

Please no, the Jadgpanzer IV is fine at 4.7 as some guns like the 75mm on the sherman and 76mm on the T-34 already have problems penning it frontally and that lfp can somewhat tank some shots. And really the PZ.IV 70 (A) should not have gone down to 4.7, its got a weak hull but a Panther's gun at 4.7.
