does it worth lose my time with ? i mean i love the conept of SU but that tank drives me mad , played 4 battles with it , where is the armor ? that thing should look deadly like a tank of the tanks but no , itºs a pice of paper glued togheter

Wait until the su-85m. I bounce so many rounds in the 85m. It is probably the best russian TD in the game.

Actually a more accurate description for the SU-85 I can come up with is it is literally a turretless T-34-85 one full br lower.

yes true , the t-34'-85 only came up later in the war to substitute the SU-85 then they started mass production with the t34 but the t34 was not engough for German tigers , and russia was short on money they decided to pick su-85 and fit it with a artillary cannon 152mm then it was born the ISU-85 but war thunder needed more variety and they made su 152 isu152 isu 152m etc

I don’t think they have the ISU-152M yet unfortunately, but yeah. (It would be cool to see more modernized units though, I have said before that the 1960’s T-34-85M and T-44M and S+MS would be fun, IS-3M, T-62M as well but they actually added that (thank you), T-55M, etc.)

yess but you know wt is adding ficticional tanks to fill the tiers , by that this game is not 100% realistic and you are right they should start thinking add more stuff

yess but you know wt is adding ficticional tanks to fill the tiers , by that this game is not 100% realistic and you are right they should start thinking add more stuff

The stuff I suggested are not fictional tanks though, they were often used or at least produced vehicles. My suggestion is also is one of the reasons I keep saying on WT forums that I don’t want to see post-Cold War tanks yet: there are so, so many things Gaijin can add before they start adding Challenger 2s and T-90s.

yes i agree , like ww2 they used all sort of things to hide theyr tanks or to put armor in it , extra armor , you should be able to place tracks in the most vurnerable parts of your tank soo it becomes more chalenging and battles take much longer than 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shot everytime
also the fuel cans that you add on the sides of the tank you also should be able to light your tank in fire too look destroyed well , yeah i supose they can add new tanks but we all know they will need to add morea than real tanks , because these ones you speaking they are all russian , it will make russia more overpowered because all players will be playing with the new tanks , they will need to create new tanks to match those for other factions

It's jagdpanzer 4 with less armor, taller profile, better mobility and better gun.

It just depends on your playstyle.

All the ones I mentioned are Russian because that is the nation I know the most about when it comes to the Cold War. (And they wouldn’t be Op hopefully, the point is to add them at a higher BR than the originals to balance them). Almost all nations have a very diverse arsenal; Russia I think is the most diverse MBT wise since they had about 5+ major MBT types running at once, etc. (which I don’t mind too much, from an SB point of view, it is 6 nations vs 1 currently, unless the add East Germany or China or something, so they do kind of need the diversity), but other nations had plenty of tanks as well, for example the Leopard 1a4, Leopard 1a5, (also the ones in between) are not represented, and I think it is more of a prototype veh. so I am less sure if it should be added, but there is the Leopard 2A6 I believe which is the Leo1 that gets the Rhinemetall 120mm.
Basically I would love to see not only more vehicles in game obviously, but I do love seeing variations of existing vehicles in game. Yes some could be use as ‘grind extenders’, but I imagine most of these variation vehicles can just be put in extendable folders so they can be optional tanks to research to not only make sure you always have something new to research and try but also to provide say upgrades (or even downgrades if you so desire, with lower BRs maybe) to existing vehicles. For example you love playing the T-55A, you could go down in the folder and try tanks like the T-55M, T-55M-1, T-55 variants with Kontact ERA, etc.). (Also everything mentioned is MBT oriented, they barely scratched the surface when it comes to Cold War non-MBT vehicles, and they do get quite cool.) When it comes to suggestions for new vehicles, if it was produced and is in the timeframe of War Thunder, usally my question isn’t Why Should This Be Added but rather Why Not?
