ULQ still a thing?

I play tanks on high or max half the time and I cant see people through bushes around 6.7 etc and they still shoot me through bushes and what not... Is there any way to counter this or?

So that setting does help in seeing enemies? I've had some matches where I move just barely into place where I can literally just barely scrape the top of the hill I'm on with bushes all around me covering me from view yet the target I see is already putting rounds into me as if they could see me clearly. That's with cover hiding my tank and not firing a shot, takes them barely 3 seconds to start hitting me at times.

I keep my settings in the high range, love things as they are and especially when I succeed in catching others in the grass vs seeing through it all due to low settings.

I guess so its very unfortunate especially at higher tiers...

If you think it's ULQ that gives your enemy an advantage, consider using ULQ yourself and so even out your chances against those using it.

If most players don't use ULQ, it will even give you the edge and your stats will soon skyrocket!

How are you so sure they on ULQ, there multiple way they can spot you behind bush
1.a light tank spotted you before you get in cover
2.smoke from you engine or turret movement
3.binoculars
4.your tank antenna
5 your tank tracks
6.why would anyone want their game to look like potato from 2005

If anyone in game is able to do things the player is not able to do the only possible explanations are:
- Cheats
- Premium
- ULQ

or a combination of these.

Any other possible explanation is ridiculous, because player knows the game, is good at it, and does not make any errors.

my god, you are funny, so anyone better than you at playing this game is a cheater, using ulq or some other method to win, they can't possible be able to be better at playing the game.........

The only thing it really helps with is removing objects such as bushes from the game entirely but not all bushes but that can be a fairly big advantage because that is an entire Bush that they removed and things as chain link fences that would be kind of difficult to see if you at the wrong angle or just entirely see-through on ultra low quality I will admit I do use ultra low quality but that is if I am in a very big need of silver it helps that much you just remove so many things from the game that just obscure issue of you so you can spot people that much easier so if you want to be as competitive as possible on this game and get as much done with as a little work you throw down those graphics settings and you play a tank that looks like it's made out of Play-Doh it's ugly as all hell and it hurts your eyes but if you want that vantage go for it but other than that I play 4K now and I have those settings as high as they go except that dang supersampling around 60fps just got myself a better graphics card so I'm getting this game book it as pretty as I can possibly get it

Your forgetting not everyone can play on max settings i have to play on ulq cause even at low my fps is under the 20s maby i can get to 25 on more open maps but on ulq i can get 35-40fps but even then on more compact maps my fps stays around the mid 20s
Yes i can spot tanks easier but so can binos and thats where it ends
If someone flies into the clouds they are gone till they leave or im point blank and tanks on the ground practically blend in unlike the other settings

ULQ is justified as long as Gaijin doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fix the smoke problem where it dissipates faster in thermals than a tank with no TTS.

Simple - in 10.3 they are using FLIR in day conditions - main reason they removed the FLIR from the M1A2 - which has been on the M1A2 for 20 years in real life..

How about instead of complaining and listing solutions that our games look like ♥♥♥♥, we come up with a valid solution that Gaijin could implement to solve the problem?

For example, there could be a feature that locks all graphics settings below what a person can reasonably use with 60 fps.
This way people can still play war thunder on a potato, but noone would exploit the ulq anymore(exept if they bought a potato pc).

That would at least result in a lot less exploits.

Lots of solutions have been given to gaijin about this problem, the easiest and most efficient to implement were to use sprites for bushes at long range. It would have little to no effect on frame rate, so people with lower end graphics card could still play the game without abusing the system.
This has been a topic for as long as I can remember. It just doesn't bring them any money, so they're not very interested in implementing this or any other solution.

Until then, if you can't beat them, join them.
