How to use marketplace with Steam account?

Hey, I'm trying to buy a skin for my F-4 off of the marketplace, but using my Steam account, but requires I get 2 step verification. I already have the Gaijin Pass app, but when I go to link it, it uses my STEAM ID instead of the email. How do I fix this?
