As some have suggested look at the armors of the tanks, see what angles do to the armor value and if said tanks have any sides/space armor that'll eat your rounds it they hit there, like a churchills/kv tracks. And most of all use the Xray to see where the crew/ammo racks are stationed inside tanks, many tanks in a nation have there crew in similar spots/areas so knowing them well will lead over to the other ones quite well.
If you know you can't kill or cripple a tank your facing try and see it you can take out there gun, no gun no firing back at you. Otherwise work around if you can and/or call them out for your team, someone most likely has a bigger gun or a better angle to hit them from. Sadly this won't get you points per say but it'll get an enemy hard target out of your way hopefully.
I'd strongly advise looking up some guides telling you what each round type does and how they behave alongside where you can aim to take out a tank so long as you have a good enough pen to pen them. Knowing even a little bit where to aim at a well armored tank can win or loose you a battle, your going to loose some despite knowing or not simply cause crap happens and not everything will pen like expected.
P.S. Try ambush tactics sometimes, get a good spot where you can watch an area and turn your engine off, makes hearing an enemy coming your way 'far' easier and your mini map will let you know whether or not its an ally. Good way to let allies know someones coming from said direction if you don't take them out first with a side shot.
If the problem continues after 2.7, the problem is probably the gunner and not the gun. Excluding tanks with guns that start with bad rounds, which isnt too uncommon to be fair
If you don't include any useable data, the "git gud" responses are pretty much to be expected.
Tier3 shells has less pen and can't snipe IS now.
Against jumbos I seem to always bounce. And against lots of other tanks due to being so low down to the ground the slopes armor infront bounces most shots. I barely get 3 kills if I'm lucky. But in the tiger h1 I've had games with up to 10 kills. Idk, pls tell me if you got tips

for the types of tanks I faced, I'd say allies, mostly Russia from what I've seen with british and US in the mix (I don't remember the names, as I haven't memorized every single vehicle with their armor rating)

I know its using the PZ III but these weakpoints work just fine for most guns in the game at this BR.
