How do you fight jets with prop planes?

I unlocked the new P-51H-5NA Mustang, and i just have no idea what to do. I have to fight jets, but i don't know how. They just out-run me, they always fly at 800 km/h, i can achieve that speed only in a dive, and i still can't catch up. Front attacks are not a good idea too, Horten's 30mm's wreck me in 1 second.

What should i do? What is the best tactics?

i'm not really a jet player, but from what i've seen in videos jets can "zoom climb" better than props (go up to max speed and gain 3000km in a fast climb trading instant speed for altitude) while props have better sustained climbs. and i also heard props have better acceleration? certainly better than an me 262 i would imagine.

try shooting more early with your .50 <.< when i play with my me262 it helps you have the ammo and the .50 is nice for longe range fights ... 30mm is not for a range over 1km <.< a lucky hit on the engine and try to stay alive till his cooling systems go down ... and then go for the kill hopefully so they do it with me. ohhh and dont go under 1km in a head on when you go in range for the 30mm like you said a hit and its over

There's really not much you can do unless you're higher than them or shoot them when they're not paying attention. I've killed F-84s this way. Also yes, you will fight F-84Bs (if you're in arcade anyways), which will club the living ♥♥♥♥ out of anything they face. Not sure why people complained about the F-84G so much, when the F-84B is at a much lower BR. I think the F-84G performed better or something.

Either way, a smart jet player will play as you described, a new jet player will try to turn fight. So, if they're smart, you also must be smart and avoid their attacks. Always keep your eye on them, because they like to use their speed to do really quick hit and run attacks. You can fight against the low tier jets like P-80s and Me 262s, but when it comes to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ F-84, it gets a bit tricky. Also worth noting, hits count a lot on jets, since they're very vulnerable to being hit. A single shot to the engine could severely damage it.

Turn fight and get them in a hilly area so that they can't just turn and run anywhere.

Stay at high alt, prevoke them into a climb. A slow jet, is a dead jet.

you perform well at high speeds and high altitude. you can outturn nearly everything at that BR as long as you don't burn too much speed. also never turn with hortens, you turn faster than them at speeds above 500mh/h or so, but smart hortens will hover near you, hoping to make you waste speed and altitude. i think you can outroll 262s in high-speed chases and I know you can outroll hortens at any speed, so try rolling maneuvers if something gets behind you.
