I buy a car and it loses value over time, virtual gaming ebbs and flows, value is in personal worth, not a physical amount of wealth on a virtual machine.
I don't think it's unreasonable to wish for compensation; but it would be unreasonable to expect compensation.
Ah your one of "those".
Definition of value: #1 the monetary worth of something : market price
The "Value" of GE spent is $3.96
The direct competitors offer in game compensation for changes like this, thus making gaijin the odd man out and an oddity for not offering anything. It is not unreasonable to expect the same tier module bought to be kept, even if that means grinding the old item at a different tier.
Your comparisons are of a troll, if that is all you have to offer, then go back under the bridge.
Also from you post attitude is equivalent to acting too entitled because not all Publisher not exclusive to Gaijin are Entitled to Compensate you.
If you're seeking a refund, you'll want to contact Gaijin Support -> https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us
If you have a suggestion that a similar system be implemented, I recommend typing a proposal up and submitting one here -> https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/forum/611-suggestions/
Namecalling doesn't benefit anyone, best to leave such things behind.
You asked if changing the location of a module was justified in not issuing compensation, I gave some real-life comparisons where value changes and compensation is not necessarily linked.
I mentioned nothing of this.
There was no intention of this, I apologize if it came across as so.
I recommend giving the EULA[warthunder.com] a read, as a few others have mentioned, as well as the Terms of Use[warthunder.com].
We are users of a video game, and at the end of the day live games make changes. Take CS:GO, guns go through buffs and nerfs, yet money spent on keys for a camo for them doesn't get refunded according to those performance changes.
Tanks, ships, and aircraft in WT undergo repair cost changes, BR changes, and (in this case) modifications change all the time, as with pretty much any game undergoing live updates. Nothing is ever really set in stone.
Read the Terms of Use and EULA.
As the saying goes, "...Has nothing to do with the price of tea in China".
You bought a product for what it was at the time, and Gaijin reserves the right to change anything they want at any time, for any (to include "no") reason (Basically, a protection that allows them to make historical changes, and if they see need to change aspects of the game such as major updates, they can). That was what you accepted, and you agreed to hold them harmless.
Gaijin did not go, "Oh look, this user bought X, let's mix modules around just to play with them!"... It's a simple case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Posting this here is much like coming to the forum to post a name and shame/frozen account issue. It does you literally no good. The people who have the ability to help you are Support- and whether they will actually do anything or not again comes back to ToU/EULA.
