game has bad pve
pve in the game is bad
tank assault is tedious and boring
air assault is just garbage
dynamic campains give you no progress and are broken when playing them cooperatively
single missions give you only a small reward once and are broken in coop also

so why does the steam store page say this game has PVE? its not a lie but it doesent really mean anything :BR_Skull: :Sadnessisnottheenemy:

It's realy shame to look at how PvE in War Thunder is completely poor mode with no future, but in second Gaijin game, Star Conflict, they got great PvE modes with even full scale battles against bots with normal rewards like versus players.

First problem of PvE is only one mode. It has great potential because sometimes players are tired of competition in PvP matches and want's to chill out with a tanks they often does not plays, but wanted to upgrade into "Ace" status. Gaijin need to improve more modes, like normal PvE battles (16 players vs 16 bots with 3 spawns), Player's strike mode where We will be attack bot's fortifications and capture command posts and some kind of Air/Naval modes where Players are main strike forces.

Second problem is reward system. It's bad. It's realy bad and worthless to spend 20-30 minutes in PvE mode while you can get 3 or 5 times bigger rewards in 10-15 minutes PvP battles. Well you need to even pay for next spawn! Sometimes your reward is debt... I don't even mind that bots are 200% aim accurate heavily armored beasts that are massive spam battlefield right now.
I don't even mind Win Ratio in this mode, it's impossible to win at BR 6.7+. (If you won, you are well luck)

Proper PvE mode is imho ASAP needed into this game. We all agreed that going into battle with no repair kit or Anti-fire modifications is suicide, and it will be nice to have proper PvE modes that would help us research them before going into PvP.

If someone from Gaijin is reading this, please considering expanding PvE. Because in current form of long, wortless and boring mode it's total missunderstanding.

Because the game has PvE, even when it's mostly PvP and the PvE parts are neglected and suck.

Because it exists in game. However, that being said, the game is heavily favored for its PvP portion(s) of the game.

Air assault is really really painfull after 3.7br.
Tank assault is ok, unless u get the sand map. I litterally punched through a wall (american house) when i had to play that map in my leo.

A bigger 1rst battle of the day reward would be nice for PVE.

of course. i would be glad if warthunder actually had atlleast one fun gamemode.
if it were a PVE one that i may even play with Friends and clanmates that would be even better.

but our current selection of.... pve gamemodes is quite pathetic and not fun

There are some PvE sections in enduring conflict that can be fun and also do credit you with some proper stuff, though you still have other players in that mode so not a true pve mode, but it shows the potential of such a game mode at the very least

Nothing in a pve match is going to make you go "maybe if i accelerate this or buy that i can be nominally competitive". The pvp portion of this game exists "solely" to beat you into the ground with helplessness so that you buy something. This is the last such type of FTP game i will ever play. It's a failed idea, for the consumer at least....for devs it's a golden goose. They can slap some vehicle stats up on the board and make you think you know what you're about to roll into battle with but in reality it's all completely arbitrary. I've been penned by tanks from distance where the stat board would say that shot was impossible....but it happens, all the time. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He is not wrong. FTP models tend to do this and this game certainly does this through the and planes that you can purchase that cost similar amounts to planes in full fledged simulators with clickable cockpits and everything modeled perfectly. And in this game the cockpits in those plans don't look good at all. But they are a way to skip passed the grind and even are set so that when they first come out they are a bit over powered to make them desireable then they balance them so that they can sell the next one. If it were just 1 vehicle that this has happened to i would write it off as a mistake, but nearly every single premium vehicle that you can buy with money has started off op then gotten nerfed to match the competition at that BR. ex: cobra king, m18, Bv 238 and a lot more.
