How to do really tight turns?
Is there a trick to doing tight turns in a dogfight? I feel like i can roll 10 times, but the enemy will always catch up and shoot me up the back

Why are you rolling and trying to make a tight turn? To make tighter turns, increase your speed and use flaps, rudders and elevators.

What do you mean why am i rolling? i'm doing S turns and immelman turns to try to get behind him.
But usually it turns into a loopdeloop battle.

If you're trying to make tight turns, the last thing you want is to roll and reduce your energy. You either commit to a tight turn or maneuvers like S turns. Doing those maneuvers waste a lot of energy and it isn't to turn completely.

So then what do i do?

Like I said, to do either maneuvers like S turns, immelman or even just a complete turn you're going to want to accumulate as much energy as possible and correctly use your ailerons, rudder and elevators. And also commit to one maneuvers, don't try to turn and then do S turns.

Keep in mind that experienced players will keep an eye out to your speed and theirs and reduce their throttle to stay behind you. At this point you need to quickly realize if your opponent realized what you're trying to do and change tactics or else you'll be a floating duck.
yo i have found that switching to advanced controls helps a lot but takes a round or two getting used to. also accelerate fully into the turn but during it reduce throttle but only for a quarter or half second to get the turn started. also as soon as you start your turn make sure you are wing knifing towards the ground (plane is sideways) and you should be able to learn the rest yourself. as stated above do not try complex maneuvers unless they are to and you know you can stay behind them without stalling it takes practice but if you want some easier games to practice in heroes and generals is okay when it comes to dog fighting along with the battlefield series ( i like the biplanes in betttlefield one and have my most in game flight hours there)

Increasing your speed in prop planes won't let you make tighter turns.
Actually quite the opposite.

(Combat) flaps & going slower may help.

Apart from that don't try to turn with planes that turn better than you.

If you're in a Boom & Zoom plane, don't turn (or keep turning), but use your energy/speed to get out of (gun) range and set up a new approach.

If the OP means tight turns as in turning faster then yeah, if the OP means turning sharply then reducing your speed may allow you to turn around sharply without covering as much distance.

You all keep talking about increasing and decreasing speed, but that isn't helpful on its own. Increase / decrease compared to what? All airplanes have individual ideal speed for highest turn rate. For most propeller airplanes that speed is above their "combat" speed. Going as fast as possible is obviously not the solution either, but if you're already at combat speed (like after "doing S turns and immelmans") then by lowering your speed you're generally also lowering your turn rate. There are some exceptions, but those are usually the airplanes that don't have trouble outturning others.

But then again, we don't even know what kind of airplanes he's using. I have a hunch it's something that won't outturn most opponents no matter what.

Pretty much this. The thing about this game mode it's that it's all physics. So it gets kind of tricky and technical.
