not sure why people are angry at OP. competition is exactly what we need for gaijin to stop adding unneeded content, and to start fixing issues that have plagued this game for years

This certainly seems like it could become a very good game. The devs look to be passionate people who aren't motivated by greed and just want to provide a fair experience. I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on this game.

This doesn't mean I'll abandon War Thunder, though. War Thunder still offers a plethora of pre 1980's vehicles, which is something that GHPC doesn't have. I'll just keep out of higher tiers and stay in the WWII/ early Cold War vehicles, where the game is actually fun.

Well, when tanks were first introduced here, it did cause an exodus from WoT, one that was large enough to be noticeable, and did lead to a interesting war of words online, one with even WG unleashing its own 50 cent army at one point and getting caught.

This looks promising. Seems to be in a good enough place that it could evolve into something interesting.
That's because WoT and WT were, and are, very different. Their only similarity is that they are both "vehicle games", they aren't competing directly (just like Rising Storm or Insurgency do not directly compete with Battlefield or CS). A more apt comparison would be WoT and Armored Warfare, where the latter tried to compete directly and failed despite being better in every way.
True, but I'm not going into mechanics PoV, but more from other PoVs. WT's devs were originally more receptive to community feedback, unlike now, where they behave like WoT's team did in 2013/14, by plain out rejecting claims of broken mehanics and junked up matchmaking, and even plain out mocking the community on livestreams on legit concerns. That coupled with the lack of magic gold ammo, tanks that don't have bush activated Romulan cloak technology (that's BS mechanic IMO, one of the reasons I got fed up with the game in 2013), more realistic damage models, better tech tree progression, better economy (at the time, it had gotten noticeably worse after 2015), and lots more had lead to a situation that WG certainly didn't see coming, and tripped very hard (and hilariously hard) then. Apparently they did make some improvements to the game, but IMO what they had done isn't enough to bring me back, and some even deters me.

That is where I was going with that example.

I feel that AW didn't get much attention from the WT crowd due to it being too close to WoT in many ways. One of the largest things folks wanted was a tank game with modern tanks, but being higher fidelity than WoT, but not as big of a hot mess as WT is becoming at this point, but not being a full on study sim. If GHPC does get big enough, it might be enough to send a small wake up call to Gaijin to at least fix some of the major complaints folks have been having in GFRB for years.

WT is still pretty fun, especially with friends, and if you stay away form the higher tiers, being the salt mines they quickly become. But I'm not blind and seeing how things are becoming deteriorated in almost every direction. The biggest thing it has going for it now is that it's in a Enjoyably unique place gameplay wise. Being not too watered down or complex at the same time, but I can't see this lasting too long until someone gets the bright idea for a proper competitor.

I still like Armored Warfare quite a bit. Play it still, I like it more for the better PVE that WT has. As that limited PVE wave defense is very bad. Some maps are pain to play on, and god help if you die. You will die 2-10 more times trying to leave the spawn into some cover. I got shot before I even completed loaded outta the spawn menu once...fun times. And the fact it's gotten zero love for years is a bit sad. And the top BR needs a spilt, planes is 6.3? to 10.3 the older jets can't even make it to the spawns before all of us in Mig-21's and F-4e's just murder everything.

But then again, not like WT has gotten ANY real new game modes in years. I miss the old events too, not these "grind for 12+ hours a day" things. I still love (and hate) WT but damn wish we'd all get together as a playerbase and boycot the game till the devs give it some real love.
I have no real issues with cash grabs every now and then or things you got to pay for as the devs are a company and need to make money to keep the servers running / pay their team / make a profit. It's when everything else is neglected and it's just or mostly cashgrabs.

Curst, or anyone else really, wants to play some Armored Warfare with me i'd be glad to. Just add me and we can go from there. US timezone though, just a heads up.
but I'm already playing an alternative to world of warships... the admins over there are ♥♥♥♥♥, but I've never had a problem with gajin in that regard.
literally war thunder but worse
It seems quite good actually, I like the model over the way War Thunder is. I have doubts but it seems decent. I'd suspect it won't become combined arms like War Thunder is and will stick in late cold war tank combat.
I hope it does well, hopefully this game will not have the Russian Bias and overpriced premium vehicles
Nonono. it's {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE} and triplane turmoil multiplayer xD
must look it up about time we had a developer to take on wt as it is money motivated now.

dont get too much hopes up about this game due to it being an indie title, sure they are making it at as authentic as possible but their focus on modern and contemporary tanks can be their own downfall since most of those can still be classified in armour values.
All right, as this is starting to get into more of feedback and not a discussion, and this being a War Thunder forum, not any other game, please consider this thread locked.

Based on some of the comments centered around feedback, we do have a Feedback and Suggestions subforum as well as on the WT forum there is a specific area for these ideas and feedback.
