This doesn't mean I'll abandon War Thunder, though. War Thunder still offers a plethora of pre 1980's vehicles, which is something that GHPC doesn't have. I'll just keep out of higher tiers and stay in the WWII/ early Cold War vehicles, where the game is actually fun.
That is where I was going with that example.
I feel that AW didn't get much attention from the WT crowd due to it being too close to WoT in many ways. One of the largest things folks wanted was a tank game with modern tanks, but being higher fidelity than WoT, but not as big of a hot mess as WT is becoming at this point, but not being a full on study sim. If GHPC does get big enough, it might be enough to send a small wake up call to Gaijin to at least fix some of the major complaints folks have been having in GFRB for years.
WT is still pretty fun, especially with friends, and if you stay away form the higher tiers, being the salt mines they quickly become. But I'm not blind and seeing how things are becoming deteriorated in almost every direction. The biggest thing it has going for it now is that it's in a Enjoyably unique place gameplay wise. Being not too watered down or complex at the same time, but I can't see this lasting too long until someone gets the bright idea for a proper competitor.
But then again, not like WT has gotten ANY real new game modes in years. I miss the old events too, not these "grind for 12+ hours a day" things. I still love (and hate) WT but damn wish we'd all get together as a playerbase and boycot the game till the devs give it some real love.
I have no real issues with cash grabs every now and then or things you got to pay for as the devs are a company and need to make money to keep the servers running / pay their team / make a profit. It's when everything else is neglected and it's just or mostly cashgrabs.
Curst, or anyone else really, wants to play some Armored Warfare with me i'd be glad to. Just add me and we can go from there. US timezone though, just a heads up.
Based on some of the comments centered around feedback, we do have a Feedback and Suggestions subforum as well as on the WT forum there is a specific area for these ideas and feedback.
