Ilyushin IL-30

I've noticed across most nation tech trees, like Britain, Germany and America, each has two jet bombers, or two variants of the same aircraft. Therefore, although I'm not player that has a hard-on for Russia, I propose that gaijin add the ilyushin IL-30. Its the successor of the il-28, it has the same dues eagle and engines, but it is more streamlined in it design, and it's wings are swept, and there are streamlined nacelles on the engines. This give it almost a 100 mile per hour speedboost. The only other technical thing that has changed was that it can carry a little more weight. I am posting this here because I want to hear the community's thoughts on the idea.

Why not go the extra meter and go for the Tu-16 ;D

To be fair though, although its true other nations have variations of jet bombers, none of them actually have a defensive gunner. Trying to catch an IL-30 would actually be difficult seeing as most jets do have trouble maintaining speed AND manueverability (without ripping wings) when its at 1,000+ km/h

This problem of course extends to the other jet bombers as well and seeing as how the community backlashed against the Tu-4 once it had been implemented, its pretty safe to say that adding more jet bombers, despite the limitations set, would inevitably break Tier 5.

Doubt it will happen. Though it is an interesting design and slight improvement, only one prototype was made and nobody even knows if it even got a single test flight or not. This also limits the amount of info on it, making it harder to model and design. Combine this with the fact that Gaijin does not like to add prototypes (unless premium, but they don't do Tier V premiums) or a gap realy needs filling (Maus, T29, Panther II, etc).

Neat idea, but probably won't happen.

Honestly, I never thought of something like adding something after the Il-28 and really don't see the need to...
You see, first 2 bombers on the German, USA and UK side, doesn't have any offensive armament (neither defensive) so what you would add in-order-to balance it would be an Il-28 without guns.

But as Vriz said, there is no need...

They HAVE done an event for a Jet prototype (La-174) but I guess its rather easy to implement since it still basically an La-15 with overheating issues.

They HAVE done an event for a Jet prototype (La-174) but I guess its rather easy to implement since it still basically an La-15 with overheating issues.

But at least the 174 flew and the followup 174D as well with a good amount of info to allow it in-game. The Il-30 is said to have never flown (but some also say it did). I would just worry that with (probably) so little info, "Sекгiт dокцмеитs" may get involved and the Il-28 is already an affective jet bomber as is.

Maybe do it as a rare event vehicle similar to the 174 or E-100, but no general need with the Il-28 and such little info out there (again, I presume).
