lol, yeah sure...
This number increases with the same players, is not the same thing as active players.
The same exact link shows what I say.
Players online
7,084 right now
13,641 24 hour peak - tweet this
35,313 all-time peak 2 years ago
The numbers you are putting here is the sum of all that in 2 weeks. That is no gain.
Besides you can even check it when you are playing WarThunder, it will tell you how many people is only, which last time I was playing was never higher than 25k. So that average is a sum, 380,000./14 (2 weeks) = 27,000 arpox. (daily), same as you can see once logged into the game.
I know but at least I have something to show.
It still shows a loss accurate or not and is more than nothing. You can discuss how many players may be "gone" but not that steam numbers are inaccurate themselves, and like I say I am sure most of the new players come from steam, and that is obvious to anyone.
He's right; peak hours have 50000 and SC only has 31000 as a record peak. Plus a margin of error comes from IGN not being perfect themselves; basically WT is stagnant/stable.
And SC is just bad data; the shear amount of variables it leaves out makes it unreliable at best.
I haven`t seen anything above 35,000 for more than an year maybe though, and you can see that inside WT. Like trully...
I don't think the data should be seen as factual at all; quite honestly from my experiences i just enjoy MMO's while they last. I don't have a crystal ball; WT could ramp up advertising and start truely competing with WOT. Or remain a fairly niche game and keep a steady but stagnant playerbase; or just fade slowly into obsurity.
I used to play on DN quite a bit; DN peaked at 8K players a day. Then there was a slow drop; the drop leveled off but did not recover. WT has drops but recovery at the moment; leaving a "Sawtooth" pattern. Overall i'm not worried eaither way.
