What Planes Can Break The Sound Barrier?
Just curious: Im looking for planes that can go the speed of sound. I have no clue which ones, but but I want it, pls tell someone smart. E.G. 700mph+ 1200kph+

if u count going 700 mph at not sea level, all sabres, hunter, mig 17s, mig 15 maybe. keep in mind this is only in a dive. they wont break the sound barrier as the sound barrier is about 761 mph at sea level,which is way beyond the limits of the aircrafts in warthunder.

It will say if you're going past mach 1, you can do it if you get your wing clipped off and go down at an angle, so it's possible, just with a not so intact aircraft.

thats in a modified user mission that u can download but its because the air is so thin you stall below 300 mph

IRL the later versions of the P-51 were technically able to do it in a long dive, but the airframe wasn't designed for super-sonic transition and would break apart. There were a couple other WW2 planes that might have been able to do it as well, but they would have had the same issue. Many of the KW era jets could do it in a dive as well (and wouldn't break), but they had issues pulling out of such a dive due to difficulty controling the aircraft through the transitions.
