So the answer to that is that it's unlikely to happen in real world conditions, but theoretically possible under certain highly unlikely circumstances.
Based on information from *outside* of War Thunder:
The 40mm Slpprj 95LK/05 has an estimated 170mm of RHAe penetration at close range. Some MBTs have weak spots in their front armor (driver's hatches, lower front plates, thin armor behind coax MG slots, turret rings, etc) where it *might* be possible for a 40mm APFSDS to get through, or perhaps to degrade the armor after multiple hits and get through. For example the Leopard 1 lower front hull is only about 76mm RHAe, the T-72M is as thin as ~130mm RHAe around the driver's hatch, a narrow section in that area on Challenger 2 is as thin as 160mm RHAe.
There may also be some gaps in certain armor designs that may have allowed 25mm Bushmaster rounds to bounce their way into the turret, and other thin spots that allowed 25mm Bushmaster AP ammo to penetrate frontal MBT armor from strange angles during the first Gulf War.
In any case, going for a shot like that would be a true desperation move. Unless of course you're playing War Thunder with it's tiny little maps and arcade style action.
Edit: I should add that although attacks against frontal armor probably aren't likely to succeed with real world equipment, even modern MBT side armor is pretty thin, and 40mm APFSDS has a decent chance to get through that.
"Balanced", I guess that includes the STRV122 80-90% winrate and the fact that its basically a better OTOMATIC as it can carry a full amount of APFSDS, can shoot down planes and helicopters and has much better mobility.
If that's balanced, then Gaijin should add the Draco Centauro for true cancer. x)
They want your quarters before they nerf it.
playing with the pen calc the strv 90c isnt going to over perform from the front any more then the warrior or other ifvs will
Top MBT got lots of weak spots, not that hard to hit on close range harder to imposible on far ranges where they actualy exceles.
To bad WT usaly have small maps. There are reasons tanks normaly try to stay out of towns if they can. Its alot more dangerous.
Close range negates most armor advantages many tanks have and exposing weakspots.
