US meme tank?
by meme tank I essentially mean a rather low-tier tank that has enough HE filler (or an HE shell) that can take out higher tier tanks from the side.
Germany has the Sturmpanzer 2
Russia has the KV-2
Japan has the Ho-Ro
Those are just the ones with large cannons, any tanks similar to those from the US tree?

Other than the M22, no, nothing noteworthy at low tier that can nuke tanks

I don't think that the US really ever used (That Gaijin has also implemented) any meme-grade derp tanks.

I think about as memey as it gets is the Sherman 105 until the 155mm T30 (6.7).

At some point I think towed artillery could be nifty, but that's something I don't think we will ever see. The US Army had some pretty impressive towed guns ranging from the measly 105mm stuff up to (and maybe even in excess?) of 240mm.

Edit: I suppose if you want a meme tank and can gather the fat sum of about 10,000 GE, the Calliope is interesting.

The closest you could get may be the Sherman 105, but I am not sure if the HE filler works as well as the ones you mentioned.

~26mm of pen. Doesn't have near the 50-60mm pen of the bigger HE rounds that the other tanks shoot :(

Sherman 105 as mentioned, it is a 105mm at 2.7, and the armour of the 5.3 M4A3. It’s pretty insane.

Alternatively, the event T30 has a long barreled 155mm to yeet tanks out of existence.

But if they added the M12,[3.bp.blogspot.com] M110,[upload.wikimedia.org] or the T92, aka probably the 2nd biggest f***-off gun we could see outside of the Sturmtiger...[i.pinimg.com]

A shame, at least its armor is rather bouncy and it has HEAT I suppose.

Pretty sure that these are just the self propelled mounts of the towed artillery I mentioned above.

I feel fairly confident in my memory that the T92 (240mm) and T93 (8") were both prototypes, saw very little production, and ????? dont think they saw combat, but not entirely sure. I think a lot of people would cry foul.

That being said, the calibers keep getting bigger, and [personal opinion] I wouldn't entirely see why they would say "no" after adding things like the French Lorraine 155 Mle.50. I just don't think they would come with any "over the horizon" or special artillery-esque aiming options, as I think that would really grind a lot of peoples gears.

Edit: T92 elevation: +15-65*.

Makes Soviet tanks look like they are working miracles with their gun depression.

Yeah the elevation probably wouldn’t work.

I wouldn’t mind if they ever did come with SPG lines, although they probably would just do premiums/events instead maybe. Although I would agree they should not be like WoT artillery or anything, if they ever did add SPG class of artillery, I think big gunned SPGs would be more likely. Some like the M12 I am pretty sure were used in the SPG roll.

It was though one of the few ways I could think on how to get other derp guns in the US tree.

I mean, they were loaded on the transports for the invasion of mainland Japan when they surrendered. If the war went on a few more months, they probably would have seen combat.

6 106mm HEAT/HESH shells in the span of 2.5 seconds raining down on you says "Hello" in return!

I mean, to be fair...
T29, T34, T32, XM-1, MBT-70, KPz-70, begleitepanzer, Maus, Panther F, Ob’yekt 906, Ob’yekt 268, SU-57, etc, etc, etc, etc, plus most of the premium and event vehicle department...[4.bp.blogspot.com]

Not to say I agree with it, if I personally had my way, the only prototype vehicles in the main tech tree would be in trees that have no other option, and all protos should exist as prems/events/gifts, but I am just pointing this out currently.
