How to control only MG on tank?
How do I control MG on tank without moving the turret? Now I don't mean tanks like Tiger 1 King Tiger etc. I mean the tanks like M18 or Tiger E where you have machine gun on the turret.

What? Yes you can. As long as the MG is independent of the turret. You need to go to controls under weaponry, there are some actions called "Select primary weapon", "Select secondary weapon" (something like the ranging MG on the Vickers MBT, secondary cannons on the M3, M6A1, Neubaufahrzeug etc.), "Select machine gun" and "Reset weapon selection". I'd suggest you to assign controls to all of these. If you press the "Select machine gun"-button, you can control the MG and shoot it as if it were your main cannon.

Sadly however, secondary guns are currently bugged for the most part, so if you play something like the M6A1 you should also add a button for "Fire from secondary guns" above.

You can do that, as said above, idk why would you want to do that tho.

It's useful for shooting down aircraft if they fly like fools

You have to set up the binding yourself.

Because if you have a slow vertical traverse speed (which most WWII tanks and a fair number of post war do) and you want to hit an aircraft coming in at a steep angle, it may be smarter to raise just the MG instead of both so you can deal with ground targets faster (as you won't need to wait for the gun to come back down). It's saved me a number of times.

Anyway, to OP: Controls -> Tank -> Weaponry -> Select Machine Gun

Also, 3 settings above, bind one for "Reset weapon selection" so you can control both at the same time after just in case.

There are some very unique situations I've found it helpful in. Once I was in an IS-2 pinned behind a pile of logs by 2 VFWs, used the roof MG control to kill one and the other backed off for me to move.

And on the M18 in sim I've used it to discourage strafing runs from aircraft and even nabbed a few kills. Everything has some specific uses.

You have to bind select main gun and select machine gun (controls).
