the gamemodes are the worst....wait that means
Were you going to get a Pacific map with your medium bomber? Probably
Were you going to get a Chinese map with your naval bomber? Also probably.
That means the mass amounts of unique vehicles, the physics model, the damage model, the graphics, the sound effects, the cross platform capability, and the engine and server stability are what keeps War Thunder from losing players. The game modes are an archaic broken mess, and serve for nothing more than space to enjoy what's listed above.
It just tells you what it fits best for, so a dive bomber can easily be a fighter, a fighter can take out ground targets, an attacker is like a fighter, but with less agility and more fire power, and a turret which is awesome for that moment when someone sits on your none agile butt, and a bomber is a cool plane to use to both bomb targets, and fly low and fast with guns blazing (also its sturdy enough to cap enemy airfields)
i mean, does the guy really assumed he is the only one to experience the pain of dogfighting with an IL2 since the game released? i think he actually does... the fact that we all went through it never crossed his mind, sad really
