shooting through buildings
Wish they would fix how a shell passes through a building like its not there. Like seriously no way a shell is going to go through 4 walls and still have the power to pen a tank.

my problem is not really with this, but with the fact that it is inconsistant with which buildings it will pen

I mean come on, you try and use a bigger building as cover so they can't hit you and im not saying it wouldn't cause some damage but to completely pass through the building and the shell not be effected it a huge flaw. And sure the straw huts in the asian maps but this was one of the brick/concrete buildings on the American desert.

it should definitely be affected, but it should still pen the sides o.

wood/straw houses yes, but then it will decide per map which stone house can be penned

^ Source ^ or another metaphorically speaking post ?

Also could we have a replay of said 4 wall death.... it should be a meme 'dead'icated to the special tankers like yourself :)

There is an account that in WW2 a Tiger killed a Sherman by shooting through a terrace of French cottages not long after D Day and that was an account from the Shermans commander who was blown out of the turret ( made a right mess of him too)

Also bear in mind that even a .50 cal like the Barret light can kill people through cinder block walls with ease. I know people arent armoured but the .50cal isnt an armour piercing tank round either-

I think a .50 sniper rifle should be designed to fire armor piercing bullets

You know how much kinetic energy an AP tank shell has? A few cinder-blocks will take away a bit of penetration power, but the loss is quite minimal if we are talking a standard house wall. Even a few walls won't stop something like a 90mm APCBC shell...

I know this is APFSDS, but these are solid steel blocks aswell, not house walls. (just turn off the music).

btw cement don't offer any protection (or a quantity so small that it won't count).
APHE shells should be able to go through almost every houses IRL. Remember that tank armor is a very little bit bendy so it don't shatter on impact. Cement or wood shatters or break.
I agree on the fact that it is impossible in real life to destroy a tank with a shell equiped with a fuse. The shell would blow before it would hit the tank. Tree's, wooden walls and houses, concrete walls. They even still find shells in the Ardennes stuck in tree's.

That must...really interest all the tankers who killed tanks in (and since) WWII using shells with fuses. Which includes all the APHE (which isn't likely to be set off by a wooden wall or tree) that was pretty widely used in WWII and all the HEAT rounds both in and after WWII.
