Why are premium tanks so expensive?

20-60$ for a tank in a game? I was thinking about buying one or two for grinding but theyre so expensive. Are they even worth it?

because theyre later tanks, its same with every game.
tier 1 tanks can costs you £1 to buy, thats because what you start with.

I get that theyre late game tanks but 60$? Isnt that a bit too much. For that you could buy a newly released game.

because of their worth, if youre starting the game from scratch and then get one of them you greatly boost your research speed aswell as the SL you earn, meaning that youll be able to quickly research and buy low tier tanks with ease.

Thats just a few of my tanks with the mb5 and spit thats approx $180.

Are tanks worth $60 ?? no obviously.(but we support the game).

I pay $60 because the game provides me some fun away from working 7 days a week.

Can i afford $60 for a tank? no not really i struggle.

I support war thunder but the $60 tanks should be much cheaper.

Take woooooows right now for the past 4 weeks a premium ship has been $140 each upto $700 for a bundle.

My greatest hate in war thunder is the nerfing of premium content.
If premium content needs a nerf the buyer should firstly be offered either a full refund or a exchange premium vehicle if so desired.

This exact post sums up my feelings regarding WT. I do wish the $60 tanks would drop to $40/$45, because it also includes the 2k GE. I love this game and it has been something to occupy me for the past 5 years. I remember the days when Airplanes were the only vehicles. The vehicles themselves are not worth the price point, but I want to make sure this game goes on as long as possible.

Considering I can buy a new Assassin's Creed game for $60 or an other full title. This indeed is way too expensive!

Being able to unlock all vehicles from only ONE tech tree restricted to let's say armored vehicles, does not justify the price of the premium tank at all. Not for what it enables you to do, not for what it is and not for how it is done.

This is far too overpriced for what it is, even the extra premium days and gold eagles don't really cut it and justify this price.

I bought exactly two premium tanks and a few premium planes between release of the game and now. I have only felt regret about doing this as the grind is still pretty slow and is nothing special really, just a wasted bunch of money I could have spent on a nice day out with my girlfriend or a 2 month gym membership xD

But to each his own I guess...

I think by giving it a high real-world value, it makes top tier seem more earned.
The steeper hill, the better it feels to reach the top.
