Getting close to unlocking this alien. How good is it in terms of survivability? Can it take a spanking from the front pretty well? Also, if anyone has it spaded, please do tell me the repair cost for it in RB. I don't want to waste my time if it turns out to be bad, as well as having an aneurysm inducing repair cost. It's good, but nothing close to the monster everybody makes it out to be, keep in mind that in terms of armor it's worse than the T32E1, and the lower front plate is a huge weakspot that even an IS-2 can penetrate from about 800m with the totally not overperforming russian blunt nose, the long 88 will struggle to pen you at even 200m so you can push it, but most tanks you will face can and will penetrate the hull and turret ring and the top of your turret(there is a weakspot like on the T32 where a thinn sheet sticks out and people can lol pen you so wiggle that turret)

The gun is extremly good but don't overestimate how it will perform, you can one shot everybody that you penetrate from the front(you will struggle with the T-54 1947) but from the side it would be better to just shoot and get away, the heat-fs is good, lot of penetration but kinda dissapointing for the speed and he mass it has(overall it has double the he filler of a 105mm heat-fs and it goes only 30m/s slower but it has 20mm of pen less)

Even stock it's a good tank and the repair cost is decent so it's a good idea to get it, i would also go for the m60 and skip the m48a1 because ♥♥♥♥ apcr stock grind.

P.S your side and rear armor is really weak btw so watch out for any SPAA vehicles because they can and will kill you if you get flanked

Be careful using it, as I bounced from the front plate of a T 44, barely 8m away from me, un-angled on a level terrain. It was the stock round

yeah the T 44 has trolly armour I will bounce so many shells from things that should pen me but then a tank that should bounce kills me. even when i check the protection analysis it tells me it will most likely bounce.
in other words they need to work on that mechanic for the both of us

by t 44 did you mean "almost all soviet medium tanks from the T-34 above?"

lol the T-34 the thing that has the same frontal armour from 3.3-5.7/6.7 if counting the premium

And bouncy as ♥♥♥♥. It should never bounce any shell from tigers, Panthers, and other large calibre shells

When i see t34 all i have to do in my tigers is to point and click on em.
Those unlucky shots from extreme angels are rare and mostly just a bad luck case

remeber how i said almost?, well things like the T34 1940/41/42 still bounce a lot of shots because of their br, yea the T-34 85 has bad hull armor but if god forbid you acidently shoot that driver hatch 8/10 the shell will just bonuce, plus look at the T 54 tanks, the only thing that has a 100% to penetrate is heat-fs, the apds won't if it's slightly angled(there was a huge debate a couple of months ago about the L7 cannon, it got a lot of traction but nothing has been done), and most solid shots or conventional rounds have high chances to bounce including the m103.

Now am i saying they are broken or op? well i consider the T- 54's to be a little but the rest no, they just get helped by the idiotic rng in this game more than other tanks
