Mini-map zoom when flying in ground battles?

Does anyone know how to zoom into the mini-map when I'm flying my aircraft in RB ground battles?

I know to press M to get the map and how to 'ping' on it, but that's all I know.

The tiny map is making it even harder than it should be to find targets with my bomber.

press M, mouse over the map and use your wousewheel to zoom in/out. i think thats how you do it.
