I think the IS-2 is extremely powerful at 5.7, however, I wouldn’t consider it better than the Tiger E. Actually though, if BR decompression is a thing, the suggestion I was working on considers splitting 5.7 and having the best 5.7 tanks (Tiger E, IS-2, M4A3E2 (76), etc.) go to 6.0. Theoretically, it’s strong at 5.7 but I don’t think strong enough for 6.0 in the current game (aka decompression time).

That's how I ground most of the Soviet tree back when the IS-2 "Revenge" came out in 2015. Peek, send a round into the turret of a Tiger II, reverse like hell into cover, and repeat. Worked quite well at the time.

I prefer the IS-1, reload on the 122 is a little bit much for me, 85mm still deletes what I shoot so no need to go bigger.

Works the same way now. Reverse speed is probably the most important thing i like about IS tanks.
It's life saver with such horrendous reload.

Think so, if I remember correctly. The IS-3 is decent forward and reverse, it’s just when you turn when you have issues.

It’s a mixed tank, a lot of people hate it, but I personally love it. I recommend it if you like heavy tanks, I bet though someone immediately after this reply will come in and say otherwise.

It has the same play style as is2 - shoot and hide. In fact is3 was the first soviet heavy tank that felt for me as real HEAVY tank. Not canon with cardboard armor.
Yes it has shot trap, but it's not that easy to hit at distance and u can always cover it by your barrel and wiggle to minimize chances of getting hit. Other than that his armor is great and can bounce huge amount of conventional shells as long as u dont run into full team of heat/atgms.
Mobility is solid for heavy tank as well.

Nice to hear that, i do really like IS2. But i also like leo 1 and T44. Maybe i should get T54 before IS3?

depends on your playstyle.I prefer more tanks like is3/is6. It's just too satisfying to annihilate enemy tanks with 122mm derp gun.
Although t54 are great tanks. And in full uptier they perform better.
