why are market vehicles so expensive?

The vehicles on the market can't be unlocked as they are vehicles of old events. It's the seller that decides the price as well, so if somebody wants to charge 290GJN for a German KV-1B, they can. Considering the German KV-1B can be so deadly at its BR, it's no suprise it goes for a lot.

I'm still a bit surprised that the KV-1B is so expensive because it was up for warbonds twice now, so a lot of people had the chance to get them. Guess it's something for those with no time and too much cash.

Generally tank games (and aircraft) items are very expensive. 60$ for a single tank with some items. Hence the market is no better

I doubt many casual people even bother with bonds and the shop. Hell, I don't really even bother with it very often. I'd like to, but I just don't find much reason to most of the time. It's still quite rare and, as we know, a bit of a clubber. I still believe that there is still no reason to blow so much money on most of the vehicles in the shop though.

In terms of event vehicles, if you don't read the news there's basically no indication that an event is even running. You have to go find it buried in a bunch of menus you don't normally check, hence why there's a few threads now asking why they recieved a gun decoration.

Gaijin really needs to make it more obvious in-game that an event is running, and an easier way to track your progress in said event. Sure you can add the tasks you're doing to your "favourites", but you have to do it for every single vehicle you use and change it everytime you finish, otherwise you have to open up the menu and submenus just to look to see how far along you are, it's a pain.

Pretty much that. There a few things that could be considered novelties that don't get hit by that hammer and are pretty darn cheap. Then there are some that make you wonder. Heck, I've seen Me-262s nearly hit 650 on that exchange.
