Late spawn

Has anyone else been spawned very late into Tank AB? By the time I get into a game usually there is someone on a capture point already. This usually doesn't annoy me too much but it makes it impossible to rush spawn points to get the capture 15 points is the Xmas event.
I get spawned instantly in Air AB but it takes forever in Ground AB. Anyone got an answer for this?

Make sure you have 'Join in progress' tuned off in the options in the main menu. If that is already off all I can think of is you pc taking ages to load the matches eg, you get stuck in a match about to start but because of the slow loading you wont actualy get ingame till after it's started, I see the same issue with friends who dont have War Thunder on a SSD. Ground forces matches will also take longer to load as there is more to load in etc.

Edit: This might be a bug?/'feature' of AB, as I only play RB and never have the late joining issue.

I don't see why they don't just start everyone at the same time? Probably would be the fair thing to do?

At the start of matches you do get about 20 or so seconds before you can spawn in so I'd guess that is the 'wait' for slower loaders etc. If the game waited for all players to load in, I can see it annoying the hell out of alot of players as everyone would end up having to wait till the guy who takes 1+ minutes to load in before matches start etc.

All I can say apart from sugesting a pc/internet upgrade is have your tried lowering some graphics settings to reduce the games load time? It might make a difference to load times but I'm not sure to be honest, but it's possibly still worth a try? I'd also run a HDD cleanup/defrag program and close/run less programs in the background etc.

It's not my computer - Air AB spawns with everyone else.
Is there really "more to load in" in Ground AB over Air AB?

Ground forces maps are alot more detailed than the air maps eg, textures quality, lighting, shadowing etc. Do you have any custom skins downloaded, they can cause long load times from what I've read online. Also give the file verify/checker in the launcher a run through, you might have a corrupt/missing file causing the long loads.
