J29A vs J29D

j29A is a j29D at 8.0 instead of 8.7, doesnt have an afterburner, lower top speed and 4x 20mm cannons instead of 4x 30mm cannons.

how do you play it? the j29d maintains energy and plays around its powerfull engine. But how does it play without that?

Like you play Banshee - you suffer. What I try to do on Banshee, since it's what I compare it to - get to some altitude of at least 3-4k before getting into furball. Most players in faster jets will either not bother climbing, or go down when fighting starts. Let all the migs and sabers start going at each other. Dive, pick off enemies with lower energy. Go back to altitude. Boom and zoom is kind of not a thing with jets anymore since everybody are so fast, but you have no choice if you want to even catch anything. Or...be low, be bait :) Probably won't do you much good, but your team will love it.
