Bad war thunder matchmaking
I have been keeping track of the matchmaking with war thunder. so far in 16 games in arcade BR 6.7 I have had 9 uptiers to 7.3, 6 uptiers to 7.7, and 1 downtier to 5.7. That is a completely unfair spread.

I want to know exactly how bad it is for other players at different BRs and for different nations. Does anybody want to help me gather data to find the worst and best BRs for warthunders pitiful matchmaking?

I'm at 3.0 at the moment and I'm getting uptiered to 4.0 a lot. Big difference there in terms of tank durability. Funky M4s that bounce everything from the front and what not.
m4s hate this trick (video about sloped armor)

yea ok, but the US 4.7 is a tier 3 and it has both 4.7s and 5.7s and tier 4 have a wider span,so you could see a lot of players at same rank than you and still be +1.0br higher than me, i dont see how this works.
all you can do is make an educated guess based on what you see. which is better then hitting to battle and seeing what you get.
rank III UK has two good lineups that get played a lot the 4.7 and the 5.0. only one of these you will be dragged into. with your 3.7 lineup
rank III US has 3 at the 4.7, 5.0 and the 5.3 lineups again one is a full uptier for your 3.7 lineup based around the T-34's.
this thread is about getting uptiers to often. what I offer is the best thing to do whether in effective or not gaijin gives us no other way to avoid uptiers. you can argue against it all you want, problem is there is no other solution other then getting gaijin to change how MM works. we all know how difficult that is.
well you actually have to hit "to battle" in order to see what BRs are being played, and i can for example see 40 people in queue as russia at tier 4 but i cant tell if they are 4.7s or 7.0s being played, or 50 germans in tier 3 and i still cant tell if they are playing 4.3s or 5.7s,
you cant tell untill youve actually joined the battle and see what your spawn cost is(i play RB). the solution imo is ,if you are getting really fed up with uptiers, leave the uptier battles and take the crewlock, or stick to tanks that can effectively deal with uptiers(like the US 4.7).
and tbh i dont see any way of being able to "seeing what's being played and adjust to give favourable MM".

Same old. Hard tarded and rigged matchmaking and RNG. Typical for 'free' games.

This only ends at 10.3, one of the reasons i only play 10.3 is this:)

Had great game with my 3.3 Chi Nu and scored top in kills and a team win. While the broad range of tanks were 2.7s and 3.0s, there were a few at 3.7 on each side. Do players generally consider this an uptier??????

I would personally consider that a downtier, but some players consider it an uptier any time you are not the highest BR. In my humble opinion, an uptier is when you are in the lower half of the BRs and a downtier is when you are in the upper half.

.... makes sense and is a good compromise!!

I have heard rumors that WT may be using a player adjustment system based on player level and player retention
the better the retention, the worse matchmaking you will get
I too have only heard rumors but myself I am coming to think they have a kernal of truth to them, at 9.3 only 1 out of 11 was a downrank to 8.3.

however I think something must be related to how many vehicles are at specific brs. like for example if theres only a couple 9.3s, and only a couple 8.3s, but numerous 10.3s, the demand for a player to fill in the gaps in a 10.3 game is higher than the demand to bring a player in to fill the gap in a 8.3 game. This is why its very important to have fleshed out lineups at EVERY BR.

and this is exactly why this theory is impossible to prove, and so therefore impossible to disprove, making it a conspiracy theory that is impossible to fully dismiss
personally, if you can't prove something with anything more than placebo, then you should just admit you don't know.
So forget about this theory. Unless we see some serious data mining, we will never be able to prove such a thing

When they add 11.0 , me from 10.3 will reach fast that br and stay there, simple as that...
I take 2 or 3 days only to unlock a new top tier mbt, also at that stage its easier to play very well uptiered aslong you have apfsds, even today sometimes i play with 9.0 vs 10.0 and do well.
i play ger panzer 4 f2 , and the enemy always be kv1 or kv2 heavy tanks.......

The match for me is decided by how many friendly and enemy tanks are T-34s and Shermans. If my team is majority German then we're screwed. T-28s are annoying to fight because of how much dead space the tank has.
