Seriously, this game is going down a really really dark path. I'm really glad there are people whose lives require no obligation to get in the way of this kind of grinding and time needed. Obviously those of us who dare to indulge ourselves in things like work deserve to be totally excluded from any opportunity to complete Operation SUMMER. It's not like we have been playing under the pretense that we could get Gold Eagles to get through events and tasks like this in the past or anything.

Clearly it makes total sense to have a situation where single vehicles are going for over $500, even to people who are present for the event but can't reconcile not having enough time to do the entire thing. (end sarcasm)

I kind of get things like the KV 220, and Me 262 A2 being expensive on the market because those events are over and it gives people who weren't playing then the opportunity...? I guess..? However having only 2 options being with very little/almost no notice find a way to be able to dedicate this much time to War Thunder....or cough up over $500 is unadulterated avarice and a huge F U to the majority of players some of which spend just as much of their free time on the game as others, they just don't have a way to compete with having that much free time to spare as others.

I don't see how this is defensible.

EDIT: Salt on the wound being even if you own a T34-E, you can't even start getting the IS-7 stuff until you finish getting.....another T34-E

UPDATE: $1000 and $1500 confirmed sales. Can we get a statement by Gaijin on this chosen direction for the game toward players so we can know if we should even bother anymore?

Well I know your pain, but I think prices will start dropping over the course of the next days. These are the freshest IS-7s right now, but as more and more people will get coupons the price will drop. Like the T-34E that cost like 100GJC, but now they "only" cost around 40GJC. I mean, it's a little bit of hope at least.

How did someone make 1000 GJN by selling skins when most of them cost less than 2.49 GJN so you mostly lose money if you open a crate

Not selling skins, they're the creators of the skins that people are buying. Every time someone buys the crate, they get a cut of it.

I'd say having a job is the only way to get this tank as the grinding part is insanity.

Im at vacations right now, and assembling my is7, just by playing 10.0, its not that hard to assemble it, trust me, grinding with my abrams or leopard2a4 its a joy.
Note, and im playing and making good breaks and i go to sleep at night.
I think in 2 or 3 days i have is7 all completed, just by playing the game.
For me the hard part was to built t34e, because i dont miss lower tiers at all...

$40 just for some of the parts to put the IS-7 together. This is a totally ridiculous situation that is outright hostile to players who want to enjoy playing with the vehicles(Extortionist, and when you have spent a ton of time and aren't quite finished it's basically blackmail to use the store to vindicate the time wasted). It's bad enough there is an army of planes and tanks you can't even see in game unless you own them, but now even if you are around for the events and not trying to get the rewards months/year down the road it still costs an insane price.
