But, to be fair, it feels like less than 1% of my battles at low/low-mid tiers are at night. And you can see a bit at night using binoculars or the gunner view.
When it's that uncommon and a different experience, I'm fine with it.
More of an issue is when I play 6.7br USA and I only get basic night vision while a few enemy vehicles can get full thermals. Night battles are more common at that tier too. That can put me at a big disadvantage.
Im not the kind of quitting games, but to my mbt lineups that arent upgraded with NVD i dont even respawn once, i simply quit before the match starts.
didnt you ever noticed it? or maybe you dont use gun sight?
For me it is almost pitch black but a bit better when looking through binos and gun position. Enough to fight, without needing any cheesy gamma graphic setting increases. But hard work.
I noticed that, in regular non-thermal night vision, light-coloured details on your tank show up brightly. So i avoid adding those to tanks at tiers where night vision arrives.
Smasung are the only company to own a special patent for "true black" which makes colors magical and vivid, high brightness is usually a simptom of a cheap monitor, high quality monitor doesnt need brightness almost at all as all colors are seeing perfectly.
You should try it if you have a problem with light, LED screens are far better the LCD and smasung enhanced LED even further
I guess I'm lucky.
I likely fall into this camp. Sadly, I'll need to put up with it until such time makes it necessary to upgrade.
Anyway, not to drag this off topic, most people regardless seem to take issue with night battles (especially if NVD is not an option for them). There is also weather conditions in-game that can make it better or worse. Nice full moon and clear skies? Ya, I can see enough. Thick clouds (or RNG forbid, heavy rain) and I can't see 5 feet in front of me. I get that for some, they can see ok, but for others, they can't see a thing.
Edit: I should note that I am in a slightly different situation to almost the entire playerbase and I know that, but I should also note that my brightness (and gamma) settings are only down just a bit (as it's mostly bright white and yellow that cause the worst of problems). In my case, most of the blame can go to my PostFX settings in-game. I use them, as said before, to just give WT's colours a kick up knowing that it will come at a cost of issues in the dark.
Yes, we all make choices,.....and yet, mine do not revolve around enhanced experiences with simple video games. Plenty of other demands exist that need to be considered.
it's quick and it won't affect your stats in-game when you get constantly steamrolled simply because you're stock.
