I'm not a fan of night battles without night vision.

But, to be fair, it feels like less than 1% of my battles at low/low-mid tiers are at night. And you can see a bit at night using binoculars or the gunner view.

When it's that uncommon and a different experience, I'm fine with it.

More of an issue is when I play 6.7br USA and I only get basic night vision while a few enemy vehicles can get full thermals. Night battles are more common at that tier too. That can put me at a big disadvantage.

I have almost all my mbts fully upgraded, but when i use one of the few without NVD on night battle i just quit at start and go full crewlock, simple as that...
Im not the kind of quitting games, but to my mbt lineups that arent upgraded with NVD i dont even respawn once, i simply quit before the match starts.

When you use your gun aim or binoclas, the night turns into almost a daylight
didnt you ever noticed it? or maybe you dont use gun sight?

This may be a bit of a surprise, but not everybody has the exact same monitor, settings, and postFX. For me, it's pitch black in both any view at night, probably due to the lower brightness on my monitor (turned down because of my photophobia), as well as my postFX settings. I've changed them so colours are much more vibrant, however, dark areas/night battles are PITCH BLACK regardless of using the gunsight/binos or not.

For me it is almost pitch black but a bit better when looking through binos and gun position. Enough to fight, without needing any cheesy gamma graphic setting increases. But hard work.

I noticed that, in regular non-thermal night vision, light-coloured details on your tank show up brightly. So i avoid adding those to tanks at tiers where night vision arrives.

Type of battle that I'm not good at,.... but I try to tell myself that everyone on the battlefield is facing the same challenge. I don't think I've ever survived to the end of a night battle.

I got a samsung curved 27 inch 144mhz 2019 monitor
Smasung are the only company to own a special patent for "true black" which makes colors magical and vivid, high brightness is usually a simptom of a cheap monitor, high quality monitor doesnt need brightness almost at all as all colors are seeing perfectly.
You should try it if you have a problem with light, LED screens are far better the LCD and smasung enhanced LED even further

Night battles aren't dark at all for me. The brightness looks about the same as a night with the full moon shining brightly, which is to say almost enough to read by.

I guess I'm lucky.

apperantly some people just have very poor and outdated monitors that simply cant handle the contrast

I likely fall into this camp. Sadly, I'll need to put up with it until such time makes it necessary to upgrade.

Currently using an MSI Optix MAG271C 27" 144Hz curved monitor. The display is also nothing to do with my problem, photophobia is light sensitivity, it's not very safe for me to even drive at night due to headlights, street lights, or bright signs (had to spend just under $200 on glasses for night driving). Considering I recently spent $350 CAD on this monitor, I'm not getting another any time soon.

Anyway, not to drag this off topic, most people regardless seem to take issue with night battles (especially if NVD is not an option for them). There is also weather conditions in-game that can make it better or worse. Nice full moon and clear skies? Ya, I can see enough. Thick clouds (or RNG forbid, heavy rain) and I can't see 5 feet in front of me. I get that for some, they can see ok, but for others, they can't see a thing.

Edit: I should note that I am in a slightly different situation to almost the entire playerbase and I know that, but I should also note that my brightness (and gamma) settings are only down just a bit (as it's mostly bright white and yellow that cause the worst of problems). In my case, most of the blame can go to my PostFX settings in-game. I use them, as said before, to just give WT's colours a kick up knowing that it will come at a cost of issues in the dark.

you are right, but, most gamers dont upgrade because its necessary, they upgrade to improve quality of life, with better controlls, better visuals, and enhanced experience

Yes, we all make choices,.....and yet, mine do not revolve around enhanced experiences with simple video games. Plenty of other demands exist that need to be considered.

I recommend spading NVs and other stuff in Assault Arcade
it's quick and it won't affect your stats in-game when you get constantly steamrolled simply because you're stock.
