So now that helicopters have been confirmed, does anyone have any idea how the tree is going to work? I assume it will start a new line at rank 4 or 5 on the aviation tree, but what do you guys think?

The streams from Gamescom show them starting in tier V of the tech tree. They are their own 'tree', meaning you won't earn RP for heli research via flying props or jets.

Why would you ever do it by era ? There's always going to be a best tank, so everyone is going to play them. You would also end up with dumb match ups. The Tiger 2 was put into service in 1944, the cronwell was also put into service in 1944, If you want that match up then sure it sounds like a great idea. Battle rattings are there so tanks equal in ability can fight each other, by eras you are just going to end with one sided match making and hours of que time as no one is going to want to fight a better tank in a worse tank. However the grind is ridiculous especially towards then end where 8.3 tanks are 370k xp and 9.3 tanks are 380k xp. And the silver cost is ridiculous

Lol, no. True they need to go back and redo the trees themselves as a whole lot of them are a jumbled mess (US air is the worse offender), and fixing the grind (easiest way is to flat out remove the soft-cap and vastly reducing/removing repair costs, but seperating things by "Era" is a bad idea. Not even mentioning that it is in of itself not fair as late WWII is closer to a lot of the complained about "Cold war" vehicles they fight than they are other WWII vehicles.

Tigers do fight T-34s though. Although I think you are talking about the 76 armed T-34s and not the 85 armed ones. This is such a stupid idea though, as the early 76mm armed T-34 would be able to penetrate the Tiger anywhere, and same with the KV-1. And it seems that you don't realise that if it was historical there would also be Panzer 2s and early Panzer 3s and 4s and Panzer 38ts fighting T-34s and KV-1s and 2s. Think before you post

post war does not belong in ww2, it needs to be devided it doesnt work now, i roflstomp any ww2 tank in my prototype post war tanks im fighting tiger 1s yes hundreds of those tanks fought and my tank 2 were made after the war and only tested then never actually saw combat and im just stomping these tanks left and right, its not a good game yes there needs to be better system than we have now you cant lie its joke getting into rank V tanks the whole game play is changed really, now they are adding helis? come on i hate using my 1940s tanks and theres jets flying everywhere its a joke already
yeah you complain people will just all stack on that 1 OP tank but its better than people just stacking post war vs ww2 upscale with really no chance their greatest strength turns their biggest weakness then what can you do... nothing but free kills for the enemy.
i remember everyone just use to play tiger 2s but there problem now is if they get upscaled anything can pen them frontally its the onlything they had going for them you flank them to win if you cant flank them they basically win untill they push a point but now its they have 1 pixel peaking out a massive huge box of armor dies in 1 hit from a post war shot easy now your telling me helli hunter killer missles just gonna rofl spray all over? whos going to bother playing germans anymore its just going to be america and russia

do not belong in ww2 era it is unfair and unblanced and BR will always be ♥♥♥♥ untill it is fixed. i mostly play the 3 above over any actual ww2 tanks because its literally taking candy from babies and it gets boring. playing ww2 tank is like a self handicap in most cases.

You seem to be lacking in the brain department a bit. You can't get to the higher tiers if it's impossible to play low tier. No one would play low tier Germans because they would have to fight KVs and T-34s, so no one would have Tigers and there wouldn't be anyone to play against in any BR. No one would play T-34s because they can't pen a Tiger anywhere. NO one would play War Thunder it would be literally impossible to get a game

Leopard 2k, KPz-70, Maus, Sturer Emil, Dicker Max, Nashorn, Ru 251, Tiger II H Sla, Kugelblitz, Coelian (not sure which of those 2 you meant), and kind of the Waffentrager, there were several Waffentragers made, but I think only a couple of the one we have in game.

Several Panthers in game besides the II never made it past the prototype stage, Tiger II P and 10,5cm Tiger II, 3 SPAA actually, Several earlier Pz IV variants, several TDs (Dicker Max, Waffentrager, Ferdinand, and Jadgtiger off the top of my head), and the Maus. Then you also push back the RU and Leo into BRs they can't compete at, et cetera.
