M24 is one of the best light tanks in the game.

Love mine. Have it spaded, along with a talisman.
If only it had the APCR like the TL variant, it'd actually be a bit better.

The APHE round is pretty good though.

The APCBC has 90mm of pen, which is good for a 3.3 LT, but any higher and it gets shafted into nothing but a flank-and-spank role.
Which isn't a downside mind you, but a pain at times.

Mine is almost stock- moves more like medium than light tank.

I feel like I am one of the only people who dislike it, along with the m41a1. Those two tanks don't fit my play style. They aren't super fast and they aren't super small and they both have meh guns (at least in my opinion). It is probably just my play style that causes me to dislike most light tanks. For me to use a light tank it either has to be super fast, super small, or have a really good gun for me to use it

Yeah, but when it penetrates it tends to one-shot.

T-34s and Shermans are annoying to fight from the front though, the only reliable places to shoot them are the turret cheeks and that has a small degree of error.

In my experience the M24 is a quick tank (stays around 40 km/h and can easily reach 60 km/h) that can play peak-a-boo pretty well. The gun? Yeah, I have to agree that it is 'meh'. It can one-shot easily and can penetrate most tanks around its BR but it tends to be inaccurate at long range (over 300 meters).

Despite all the bads, at least the gun isn't as inaccurate as the pre-nerf L7
