I didnt even get to update the game. it told me i needed to and then i could no longer play once launched as it is out of date and i cant verify the files or download the update

Error 80001006 and 80001007
Your launcher version is not compatible with the version supported by the server. You need to run the game clicking on a launcher on your desktop, instead of running aces.exe file. Which doesn't support Steam...

check your l;aunchers it is now titled something like masters of the sea
every couple of minutes something is changing

Give it some time. It sometimes takes a bit for the client to get pushed out properly.

Its not hard to update your server and push the update to users at the same time, MMO's have been doing it for a few decades.
