Good news! Looks like we got a response.

This does look promising as we went from total silence and even ridicule from gaijin staff to actual acknowledgement from the CEO.

This proves that the community can influence stuff. So let's stay on the ball and not let gaijin sweep this under the carpet a few weeks down the line.

Says the guy who most likely literally got a free Abrams.

I am not an 'employee'. I am a player who volunteers their time to help the game.
What is 'strawman' about it? Please answer. How is paying for the game unreasonable? You also have left out the other parts of my discussion. Why did you omit the comment on the 10 free repairs per vehicle?

You understand that the "10 free repairs" don't actually repair your vehicle ingame right?

That's assuming that you've died and left the game.

Its an utterly useless way to suggest that its helping players and doesn't even apply to the context that people are arguing for.

Aka, get shot in the cannon barrel = become useless for the rest of the match, unless you can stagger to a point.

Lots of folks here are claiming the Gaijin makes a huge fortune from the game. Who amongst you has actually read the Gaijin company Profit and Loss statement? Can anyone actually state with any accuracy these figures. I have never seen them. Have any of you read the profitibility documents? Or is it all supposition? I am betting on the latter. :)

thats already proven they got alot money from even a single game why are you denying it ?

I agree, those two are the biggest: the apsolute biggest maps in game in SB are about 3.6km by 3.6km in size, and in RB almost no map reaches this size as all the maps are usually under 3 and feel like a WoT map. These effects are significantly multiplied at top tier as well: the longest tank kill in history was by a challenger 1 (a tank in game) on a T-55 at 4.7-5.1 km in distance approximatly... In game we have 1500 HP engines, stabilized smoothbore guns, APFSDS, laser rangefinders that go up to a kilometer, etc; and we don’t even have FCS yet.

Also, this is a copy-paste comment I made from another thread, I think something like this could fix the massive rank 5-6 grind and benefit both the players and Gaijin:

*snip*

To this, Gaijin's tank engine I don't even think is good enough for this.

You can see on maps like Eastern Europe at huge ranges, (for example, if you take the western spawn and reverse back to the edge of the map) you often can't see the enemy tanks or they begin glitching out as they pop over the top and beneath the hills on the other side of the map.

Same goes for the Northern Hills of Maginot Line.

The engine needs revising so that it can actually support the spotting of enemy tanks without the rendering screwing up basically.
In my country we use to say "The worst deaf is the one who doesn't WANT to listen".

Too bad it wasn’t years ago before War Thunder became really popular isn’t when I realized that War Thunder will never end up becoming what hoped to be. F***ing false advertising.

False advertising? not really.

They just dont tell you that actually getting that cool free abroomz will take you either 3 years of your life, your wallet or your soul.

“Realistic Battles” - used to be realistic, it’s been degraded over the years; not worthy of the name “Realistic”.
“Simulator Battles” - where’s the simulator? Saying you have “Simulator Battles” and not having a f***ing Simulator is false advertising. Where is the “Simulator”?

WT never advertised itself to be a simulator.

And were RB battles ever better? "realistic battles" just means that the vehicles itself are realistic.
Simulator mode is just more realistic than RB. Pretty sure there isnt some overarching definition of what "simulator battles" should be. Like i already said WT never advertises itself as a simulator.

Not sure what you are asking for here. Lets keep it fair.
Define realistic? Because its impossible to have a game be completely realistic making it all relative. And imo RB is plenty realistic enough.

Software companies have tried the pay first, play later approach. That lead to really good companies with really good games going broke(Like Sega/Creative Assembly(Total War), Microsoft Flight Sim etc)!! You do know this, don't you? You have all of course researched and considered this haven't you? (And yes, as a long time player of TW - I have Medieaval 1/Rome 1 - I know TW is still going but now is owned by WarGaming)

Thats a heap of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so big that it simply can not be coincidental, but is a staright up lie.

Sega and Creative Assembly never went broke, quite the opposite. CA is published by Sega and currently has 3 teams developing 3 parallel products (Sagas, "main" TW line currently being China, and Warhammer which turned into its own very succesfull TW spinoff), and they also have a team developing TW Arena that is being COpublished by Wargaming and Sega presumably because Wargaming has both technologies and experience in making and maintaining games of such format as well as their patented match-maker technology. Rest of TW franchise belongs to CA/Sega. Having 4 teams working on 2 very large AAA projects, one of relatively medium scale (sagas), and one F2P can hardly fit a "going broke" description.

The scale of moronism of that claim you made about Buy2Play model being tried, not worked and abandoned or otherwise lead companies to guaranteed bancrupcy can only be rivaled by that statement in the stream that grind is the only point of the game.
