Are Bombers even worth the SL ?

I reached the point where Bombers begin to become pretty expensive (100k) and i dont even think its worth anymore. Im AB player so i get killed pretty quickly without even progressing. Should stop researching them, i personally love them but damn im always broke and dont do any profit.

anyone saying yes is out of their minds bombers have everything against them their defensive gunners are blind their airframes are made of paper mache and they are huge targets every fighter on the map is gonna b line for not to mention the obcene repair and bomb costs so no they arent worth it not a bit.

which is a shame cause i do enjoy playing them but they arent even vaugley worht it

People from what I’ve been seeing are getting a 100k+ SL a battle in a He 177, so I think a plane that pays for itself in 3 Battles is kind of worth it.

Also, the Jet bombers are worth the entire line, I have the Arado 234B (and C, but I am too lazy to buy it because the b is so much fun) and the IL-28: even if you don’t play a single bomber before it, they alone are totally worth the entire line.

It also depends what type of bomber you like too, there are different types. I never been much of a heavy bomber player, but I really like medium bombers and absolutely love light bombers and frontline bombers, so at least try them all.

Tbf if you plan on doing anything, usually Air RB is the most efficient, maybe with the exception of SB for RP.

Totally worth it, but imo only in AB.

Though some bombers like the Do-217 got their repair cost raised so much that it might be hard to break even, still, it helps winning.

If you're going to take out a large bomber in AB you should only do it on your second spawn and after as a lot of the enemy fighters are busy by then. Also, don't mow the lawn with them, I see so many players doing that.

It’s been forever since I played AB, but one option could be is to take the bomber as the first spawn, but instead use the equiv. time of a first spawn to instead sideclimb out of the way, to gain as much altitude as possible?

Only fast bomber are worth using now. Ones like BTD-1 can reach 600km/h while rushing toward bases and no one will be able to intercept you in time.
Big and slow bombers are just point pinata for fighters at this point.
