As for 3BM29, I doubt it. Only the exterior was made of aluminum (V-95 aluminum alloy to be specific), but the penetrator was uranium (hard to find what type exactly, but likely the UTNs that they started with which was a uranium-nickel-zinc alloy).
Though it is worth taking some HE in my view. Hitting the right spot on a Leo 2A4 or AMX-40 around the upper hull can set off ammo they have there, or many side shots just above the skirts can cause serious damage as you have 47mm pen with it.
